I don't think so, and might have spoke out of turn last night thinking it was the other way around. I missed out on the mail in pa license deadline. There used to be a county that if you mailed them a copy of your ohio license and a check, would mail you a PA permit. Either way, i currently cant carry in PA. I know ohio doesn't recognize pa because there is no safety course required for pa residents.

Sounds like Ohio is on the cusp of being up with Indiana law. Thats a good feeling considering our neighbors to the west are beyond repair.

The bill is a good thing in my book. I would have liked to see the hours requirement at 8 hours. The "stand your ground" will tell me I don't have to turn into a sheep.
I just received my CCW for Ohio and have a Ruger SR9c. (no holster yet) I am undecided as to carry full time. I will most likely determine that depending where I am going.
I think the bill will deter crime in public, no telling who has a gun.

BGBill ... Congrats on your decision to join the ranks of those who carry in Ohio .

Regarding your indecision about carrying full time I would simply say, since no one can predict that moment in time where we will need it (if ever), carrying daily is the only method I know that will insure that I have it if I ever need it (hope that day never comes).

There are some problems with Sub. H.B. 203. It contains provisions which will expand firearms disabilities, and it will lay responsibility on local law enforcement to enforce federal firearms disabilities. That part needs to be fixed.

What does that mean, Wertz?

I did notice that what passed in the house did not contain exactly what was proposed. I guess that's how law making works... now we have to see how much the senate changes it, if any.
