340 PD since it came out but trying the LC-9 . In the future it may be a mix. If I were to buy new today it would be the LCR and LC-9. This would be due to cost. Often we don't consider cost . If you use your gun in a self defense shooting in many places it will be taken. Often you might not recover it. Also the wear and tear on the gun over time reduces its value often to almost nothing for resale or trade in. Another consideration is it is often best to have two of the same model. If one needs repair it is easy to switch to a gun you have proven reliable . Also a second gun is the fastest reload . It is also nice when all family members can use the same model gun as training and ammo become easy as compared to a mix of equipment and ammo .
The 340Pd now is in the $900.00 dollar range . I saw a used LC-9 for $299.00 at the last gun show . It was used but fired little if any . Seems a guy got it and decided he wanted something else and traded it back in. New ones on the same table were $359.00 so in eithe case $900.00 will buy 2 guns , extra mags and some ammo if you shop around.
And if you lose one you still have one.

The wife and I both carry identical:
Ruger
SP101 3" (tuned, springs, shims)
.357 Magnum, (158g Federal HS JHP)
In identical OWB holsters we had custom made by Kelley Gun Leather, at either the 5 or 9:30 positions as required.
The SP101 was chosen for its ability to also serve as a trail gun, having the ability to handle custom loads such as snake rounds.

Depending on how i'm dressed and individual situations, I have 4 handguns that I have chosen out of my collection for my carry rotation...
1. Dan Wesson CBOB 1911 .45 ... I currently have an OWB holster so until I can make up my mind on an IWB, the CBOB will be used more in colder weather when I can wear a jacket as a cover garment.
2. S&W M&P Shield 9mm ... My current carry. It's lightweight, thin, and conceals easily under a T-shirt. It's my "go to" carry piece in this hot weather.
3. Ruger SP101 3" 327 Fed. ... Waiting on my IWB holster to be shipped. I'm curious to see how well it carries and conceals.
4. S&W 442 J-frame .38+P ... My pocket piece.

At the moment, an older single action AMT Backup .380 in my front pocket, behind my wallet.
I don't often carry autochuckers, but the AMT Backup is a nice pocket piece and is slim.......6 rounds of .380 should be enough for "around town" carry.
I had been carrying my NAA Mini .22 LR revolver but today wanted to "test drive" the AMT since I haven't pocket carried it yet.

I traded my S&W M36 "Chiefs Special" and bought a LCR 22 for EDC and carry it in a Remora holster IWB appendix or in a pocket and sometimes in a fanny-pack full of dog biscuits on our daily walks.
The S&W was very uncomfortable to shoot in my hands. Shooting hand has a pinched nerve in the thumb and it hammered that thumb. The .22 is as easy to hide as the S&W and much lighter. With the CT grips, I can shoot faster and more accurately then I ever could with the S&W and without pain.
For woods and trail carry, I have a SP101, .357. I don't shoot it much, for reasons outlined above. When I do, it is with very light hand loads (2.5 gr. Trailboss, 158 gr. SWC's).

Make: Beretta
Model: Nano
Caliber: 9 mm
Where you carry it: IWB Hybrid Holster at 0530
Why you choose that specific firearm: Concealable, thin, handles nicely and is reliable.
And soon I will be carrying my newly acquired Ruger SP101 in .327 Federal Magnum
