If it cleans off, great. If not I would return the box of shells to your retailer and ask for an exchange.

I think I may just shoot it and buy a new box for a little peace of mind!

I am a Critical Defense guy. I like the expansion and it goes bang every time in the LC9.

I'm not brand specific, I look for best consistancy, for revolvers that means at least 150-200 rds of trouble free ignition and accuracy, for semi's 200 rds of jam free operation and accuracy, the most accurate load don't mean jack if it won't cycle reliably. Shot placement is more important than expansion to me.

From their website, Zombie Max - Hornady Manufacturing, Inc

OK, so what is a zombie? What is this about? |
It's literally the same exact round has the critical defense only without nickel plated brass and a green plug instead of a red plug. It's a money making gimick due to the popular zombie fad. I think there neat but its all the same as CD.

Speer Gold Dot Personal Defense
115gr 9mm
Gold Dot seems to be the popular choice. |

It does. I think thats why I like the BB 115gr 9mm cartridge so much (it uses the gold dot bullet) but I do wonder if the fact that it is so much hotter (1400fps 500ft.lbs vs 1210fps 374ft/lbs) is really a good thing? I know the P89 can handle the round all day long, but I worry that I am getting into that gray area that .45 gets to where you end up with a bullet that exits the body too easily without giving up as much of its energy as it could have.

I sell Gold Dot LE, Federal Tactical, and Ranger ammo. Most of my guns are fed by Winchester. |

I use Magtech for range time in every gun but the Mossberg 500 Persuader, it gets Selier and Bellots. I like the clear casings, it gives them a mean look, not that anybody on the wrong end is going to know. They have a humungous recoil but I'm using the pistol grip.
