More proof that gun free zones do NOT work at keeping people safe.
That entire national theater chain (Cinemack) disallows concealed carry. One would have to live under a rock not to know that. It is meaningless. In that area it would be unusual NOT to carry - whether or not one has a CHP ('concealed handgun permit' in Colorado). Moreover it is legal to carry fully loaded in your vehicle even if no CHP. Aurora is an armed camp. Didn't help. The local constabulary is seasoned and well-equipped, but no one could prepare for this. Really tragic. The best plan is to avoid these really dangerous areas in the middle of the night. We do inspection and service work in the middle of the night at that same mall (thankfully I was elsewhere that night) and always have a firearm in the vehicle. | Cinemark? We don't have one close by. Elaborate the under a rock statement. We look for signs as we are walking in. Haven't seen any in Ga. Saw 1 at a mall in Orlando last year. Saw it as we were walking through the mall. Kept it in my pocket. No issues.

What thoughtful responses, my friends. I honestly can't say what I would have done given the horrible circumstances, especially if I had a family member with me. But, I carry a SP 101' 4.2" 357 mag as my EDC. Yep, it's relatively big and heavy, but I've never been a minimalist when it comes to self and family protection.

I don't have a clue what you are talking about. Printing capatalized letters instead of words may seem cool to you but to me its just ignorant!!!! I don't go to movies at midnight and I don't go to movies that display cant carry signs so nothing has changed for me and never will. Always prepared didn't just start yesterday. FRJ

Tritium night sights don't need charging.
| Right, thats what real night sights are. The power or radioactivity FTW!
By "glow in the dark" I was referring to where someone goes out and wastes $20 on photoluminescent paint, paints in on their sights, and then calls them "night sights". It makes you wonder what they are thinking.... When you have a concealed firearm, the very definition of concealed means no light is reaching the sights to charge them..... but Then, I am getting way off topic.... sorry.
