.45 or .357

I carry a Service six (.357 4" barrel), but would rather have a .45. I've got a LCP for those times when it's a bit to hot in SC for my IWB.

I just upgraded to a Ruger SP101 in .357 magnum. I load it with Winchester Silvertips 145gr.

.357 SP101- I like the versatility available through multiple factory and hand loads.

I carry .357mag. 135gr. Speer Gold Dots in my M&P 340. Most comfortable gun I've ever carried. (front pocket in a Nemesis holster).

I carry a autoloader in .40 S&W but will be picking up a SP101 next week so that could change.

Reminds me of the Outlaw Biker who was beating his ole lady when the cops arrived he pulled a sawed off 12 gauge double and swung it in the direction of the Officers.

He never completed the swing. He was cut down with two slugs from a 45 ACP,
Sig P220. Cops projectiles were 230gr Hydra Shoks. One took him in the abdomen left side and the second round took him in the left ribcage and both rounds exited out the back.

Range 28 ft. Mr Shotgun weilder survived the hits from the 45 but he now resides in a prison wearing a colestomy bag and breathing with one lung.

Bullet placement counts a great deal, no matter the size or design of the projectile.

I never leave the house without my 442 which is a 38. 90% of the time I also have my Glock 19 with me as well.

I like 9 mm for several reasons but it comes down to the glocks I like to use for ccw 17 and 26.Ammunition come a long ways in the last few years so I have no issues running to larger calibers because Iam afraid of lack of punch
the 9 carrys but that's me.147 grain bullet mimics a 45 apc very closely as
a subsonic cousin.Above all I must stress don't get caught up in what others
us because it's about life and death when you get in these actions and you are in it to win so make sure this equipment is about you and it works for you.
Too many people get caught up in the name.
