How quick did it take to get your license?

Well after much procrastination I finally entered the brotherhood of CC. I picked up my license today. It took only 4 days to receive license after background check. Anyone else have quick response? I was expecting to be nervous carrying, but suprisingly no. It felt natural.

In my county the sheriffs dept said they could take up to 45 days to evaluate/approve/deny the certificate but they called 10 days later and said come get'em.

In Wisconsin, I sent my ap in November first 2011 (the first day you could submit them), and I had it in hand on Nov 15th (a few under 5300 total licenses issued at the time).

Took my class and tendered the paperwork on the 20th of Dec. I should get my card in another 20 days or so. They say don't look for it until the absolute end of the 90 day period.

Wisconsin just approved Concealed Carry and 11/1/2011 was the first you could apply. I didn't take the class until 12/4 so I sent in the app. 12/6. Word was there were so many apps. there was a back log of up to 45 days. I received mine though on 12/27.

"MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME !

Having taken a qualifying firearms course (4 hours) and having filled out the permit to carry application, I walked into the sheriff's office, gave them the app and the instructor's certificate that I had taken the course, and $50. They told me to sit down in the lobby.

Less than 15 minutes later, they came out and gave me the permit to carry. My guess is that they inputted my info into their computer, checked NICS, and printed the permit (which the sheriff signed).

This was Jan. 2011, after Iowa went from "may issue" to "shall issue"; so it took 4 hours, 15 minutes and 100 years.

Nearly 5 weeks to receive my permit in the mail in Minnesota. They are given 30 days by law. They issued it on day 30 and then it took almost a week to get to my door.

Something tells me that they set your application in a folder until day 30.
