I live in Arizona. We just passed a law recently that CCW permits are no longer required to carry concealed legally, which is awesome, but my wife and I still plan on taking the course together as soon as we have the available funds so that we can carry out of state and in certain places that still require it. She has been to the range a couple times, but isn't quite comfortable with carrying a gun yet.

The wife has been asking question's about how she could carry if she got her permit. I'd feel better if she had it but I'm not gonna push her into it. She'll let me know when she's ready.

My wife enjoys shooting. Range dates are the best. We are planning a thousand round date for this Saturday. My only problem is every time she gets to shooting one of my guns, she takes it for herself. In fairness though, she gets me new ones or tells me to get a new one.

My wife and I both have concealed carry permits. She seldom carrys if I am. But she does feel it is her duty to get a new gun everytime I do.

I took the class with my girl friend and some other friends. I already had my CCP, but wanted her to be comfortable in the class and with the whole experience.
She recently moved in with me and will be getting her permit soon. We are shopping for a carry gun for her, but she has expensive taste and it may be a little while before she can afford the Kimber she wants.

My wife, and I both have lifetime Personal Protection permits. We both carry our weapons everyday. We have always enjoyed shooting together, and have trained our two daughters to be competent shooters as well. When our daughters turn 18 we are getting them lifetime carry permits as well.

Our first "date" was a trip to the range so I could start coaching her wit the 3" .38 she had just bought. It was an old Rossi. the LGS in town didn't have much of a selection. She now carries one of her .45s "on pavement" or one of her.357s "off pavement". I think she has her eye on a .41 mag for off pavement but even the smallest Pchs are still not comfortable for her on my S&W 58.

My best friend took over my old Walter PPK 32 auto.. She like's the weight and no recoil of the PPk.. She has gotten use to weapons.. Cuz when she came into the house there were 2 full safe's in the basement and my top drawer all ways has 2 loaded weapons in it.. She is getting to be a very good shot.. She works nights and feels more secure if she is Packen Heat as she calls it.. I would feel better if she would use a bigger cal. but at least she is carrying..

Hopefully there's time to still back out...Don't do it, man!! There are plenty of women out there with more favorable gun attitudes!

in all seriousness, Mindy shoots everything i have minus the slug gun, and her favorite is my plain jane blued/wood Mini 14.
shes signed up for the CCW class, so im sure i'll be down one handgun soon enough.

You lucky bastard, you!

Actually, I don't have it too bad since my wife won a Ruger 30.06 M77 in the Fireman's raffle a couple years ago! She has been bugging me she wanted to go deer hunting with it and this past Fall was the year to do it. She went out with my daughter's boyfriend and his dad since I'm not a deer hunter myself. So...she's not sure about my CCW, but she accepts it and has given her blessing to me getting an SR9c for carry, so there IS hope.

My wife actually supports me on this. On the other hand she does not like guns of any kind. She was raised in a home where no one had guns, so she was never around them till she married me.( I'm proud to say 35 yrs. ago) They make her nervous I guess. I don't push her to shoot but I do invite her to often. Maybe some day she'll surprise me and answer yes. My 2 daughters, 27 and 32 both shoot. The younger being a hunter also. My grandson, now 9 yrs. old has been shooting since he was 5 yrs old.
