It's too bad that some of these polls have such long lives. My wife has gone from tolerating my passion to be a licensed pistol carrier herself. No way to change the poll numbers though. Once you've voted, it's gospel.

The wife has the application filled out and just needs to find the time off work to go to the County sheriff's office to have the background check done.

My wife got hers last year. She isn't into shooting that much but does agree with the need to be able to protect herself when needed.

Some day I hope to change my wife's mind that it isn't necessary to have a gun in the house much less carry one. I just hope that it isn't too late.

My wife was not completely comfortable with my choice to get my ccw due to lack of knowledge about laws, My wife got more comfortable with it the longer i carried and the more I taught her about the firearm and the laws in our state. Our state recently allowed all citizens that are legal to own a handgun the right to conceal carry with out a permit. I however have the permit and am able to carry in places the citizens without can not, after this passed my wife felt it would be better if she also had hers, so she went to the class and got her permit.

My wife gets her permit this week and plans to carry most of the time. My class is set for the first week in June and I hope to have my CC permit within the 45 days. I also plan to carry most of the time.

My wife supports me and she enjoys to shoot but she doesn't have her CCW. Being in PA we only have to fill out paperwork give then I think 25 bucks and get your picture taken. So hopefully I can at least get her to get her license and then hopefully get her to carry in the future.

My fiancÚ has attended two separate CCW classes because she wanted to learn more about handguns, etc. However, despises the fact I carry and has gone so far to say I "will not be around her or her girls (not my children)" if I am going to carry. She has a latent fear of weapons, because of her limited exposure and experience with them, and inherently feels they are dangerous by just being around. Undoubtedly, she likely fears for negligent discharges and thinks they just "go off" for no reason whatsoever.

I have taken her to the range and she enjoys shooting; even wants a .22 pistol for her target practice, but views weapons as sport/target/hunting only. She does not see the need of one "for defense".

My wife was reluctant to support my shooting hobby up until I got her to the range the first time the other week. Now she wants a gun, is supporting me in carrying, and is looking forward to getting her CCW too. Think I may pay for the class as an anniversary present this fall.
