Taurus 905 with crimson Trace laser grip. Totally cheating but it was my default carry gun at the time.

Grand Power P1 9mm first time out. Pistol arrived 1 day before class so never had a chance to sight it in or get the feel of it. She proved well 10 rounds target center with factory adjusted sights. My instructor was impressed and never had seen or shot a Grand Power before so gave it few test shots and came back smiling.

The very first CC course: Colt Government 1911 in .45acp. The instructor ran us through a "practice" course. Afterward, checking our targets he pronounced we had all passed. We thought he was kidding, as we prepared for the real session. He said he did that so that we would not be as nervous.

None. Since I am a retired Army Engineer--I provided a copy of my DD 214 to the county clerk and got my CCW license 45 days later after my local background check was complete.

Smith and Wesson SD9VE and GP100 6 inch. Shot with the Smith first, then ran the qualifier again with full power .357 magnums.

Another state I lived in required qualifying with your carry guns. I qualified with a Glock G20 10mm and an S&W 640 .357 magnum.
The .50 cal was fun, but a PITA to clean. Luckily, in garrison duty, we were NOT allowed to reassemble, just tear down, clean and let the armorer do it.

We shot the M60 alot, also fun,, but as I never signed one out, I never had to clean one.

The M203 was also a real hoot. But they were stingy about giving us range ammo for it.

I'm in Washington State and did not have to qualify with any guns to get my CCW. However, I am confident in my abilities as well as my P95 and SR9 to shoot between 5 and 25 yards with good groupings. I do it every couple of weekends.
