CC'ing in National Forests..does it default to what the state says?

I'm going to Arizona in a couple weeks to do some dispersed camping. I intend to bring two firearms a 1911 and a .44 magnum. The 1911 is really just for my own protection on the way there and when hiking around I intend to carry a .44 mag either open or concealed. Probably a snub nose. I've read some conflicting literature about carrying in national forests. Some literature says you can only open carry on National Forests and others say you can carry open or concealed.

Does anyone know if I can conceal carry in National forests in Arizona?

I visited national parks in Montana, Wyoming and both Dakota's last year while carrying concealed. As the others have indicated conceal carry is mandated by the state you're in. Any park structure is considered a federal building and will have some warning regarding weapons that are not permitted in them. I have a car safe that I lock the guns in when I am somewhere I can't carry.

I'm talking about camping in the woods. No structure or anything and either open carrying or conceal carrying a firearm or maybe two. Arizona is an open and concealed carry state and my state has reciprocity with Arizona. I've read the cased gun laws, it didn't say anything about open carry unless during hunting.
