I tried an IWB one time... felt like I was totin' a whole pineapple under my shirt and inside my pants.

IWB's are not for me.

I can barely fit my waist inside my waistband, let alone a firearm. That's why I carry OWB.

I've had a Service-Six for a long time and, when I carried it, I always carried it OWB. I recently bought 2 new pistols that are much smaller/lighter that I thought I would carry more often. I bought a LCP II and a M&P Shield PC. The LCP I planned on carrying in the pocket and the Shield I figured I would carry IWB. I bought a Vedder Light Tuck. It's a well made holster and I'm keeping it - -but - - it is hard to position and very uncomfortable for me for anything but standing. I'm 6" and 180 lbs so not skinny or fat, but I don't have much of a butt and find that to keep my pants up, the belt has to be very tight and the bulge (the one caused by the pistol) is very noticeable.

I've decided that for most of my CC I will carry the LCP II in either my BORAII pocket holster or my Sneaky Pete. Both are very comfortable, safe, secure, and totally concealed. For hiking, hunting, outdoor carry, I will carry the Shield in my DeSantis Mini Scabbard with a coat or long sweatshirt. I want the option of IWB carry but doubt I'll be doing too much of it.

This is where I kinda fit in.

However, I have carried with a belly band from time to time as well.

Same here, except I pocket carry all the time and only a shoulder holster in cold weather. I've never tried an ankle holster.

Agreed.....If I had to buy even larger pants for an IWB, my wife would probably shoot me

I prefer a shoulder holster, both for comfort carrying, and ease of drawing.

When hunting or fishing, I detach the holster and connect cross chest via a simple strap. Sit right up there.

Try it, you'll like it.

Miami Vice style.

I tried 2 IWB holsters, neither were comfortable for me. If a gun's too big for my jeans front pocket it's not going to be comfortable in an IWB holster. And it's going to print unless I'm wearing oversize cloths to hide it. The closest to comfort I got was appendix carry but only while standing.

I've tried carrying IWB with a full size CZ-75, a CZ-75 PCR, 3 different commander size 1911's, Glock 19, 27, 23 and 30. I also tried an LC9s, j-frame, LCR and I've finally decided that IWB just isn't for me. Lost track of the number of different styles and makes of holsters and belt combos.

Finally had to admit that my back just won't let me carry in the pants with the exception of AIWB with the LCR. Mostly pocket the LCR or LCP.

I carry a Colt 1911A1 OR a Ruger P90DC.

OWB only. (sometimes shoulder rig)
Either "covered" (shirt/jacket) or Open.

Got a nice, thin kydex holster and a quality belt so it's not for lack of good equipment. Have carried a bit with a compact, single-stack 9mm. It's OK I guess but I spend all the time wrangling the damn thing into my jeans and getting the clip on then if it's sitting in the wrong place it's about imposible to adjust even an inch or so. And I'm not even fat. I have no idea how fat people can do it.

Once I've got it where I want it, I've still got to have a long enough shirt, or vest or jacket, that it doesn't expose the butt of the gun. And with a shirt / vest / jacket that long I might as well have a Desantis mini scabbard or something else OWB that rides up high and tight, and doesn't mess with how your pants fit.

I've tried to carry IWB, and have friends who do, but I've never gotten comfortable with that style for EDC...can't ever seem to get it to 'fit-just-right'!

My personal preference, is OWB in the 3:30-4:00 position...in a 3-slot holster that I can rotate over into the 10:30 position in the winter where I typically wear a vest and can leave it open 1/2 way so I have access to my firearm...even while operating a motor vehicle ('cause otherwise, it's trapped beneath my overcoat which is pinned-down by a seat belt!)

In the summer time...I have a nice selection of shirts that I leave un-tucked and no one notices that I'm EDCing! This past week, the wife and I met with our senior pastor regarding a training program he thought we might be interested in (we're already marriage 'coaches' at our church) and I'm pretty sure he had no idea I was EDCing in his office. (I've lost about 30# over the past 60 days and without the waist 'bulge' there's nothing to push the gun out and away from the body!)

Carry my Kimber Pro 1911 OWB covered by my shirt. I buy big and tall shirts just for that reason.
