I won't rely on any handgun for self defense that I do not practice with and feel competent in using under any and all circumstances. I bought an LCP years ago, thinking it the perfect concealed carry gun. But I found I could not shoot it even moderately well, I hated shooting the snappy little gun, and ended up with never practicing with it. So I traded it off and gave away all of my 380acp ammo, a caliber I never felt very confident about anyway. My LC9s is almost as easy to conceal, and in the pocket DeSantis Nemesis holster is carried no matter what clothing I am wearing that day. With 7+1 of 9mm instead of 6+1 380 I feel quite comfortable, even when not carrying a second magazine. If I ever decide on carrying something considerably smaller than my LC9s I will consider a 22LR handgun but not likely to ever go back to 380.

My LCP, with Hogue hand all, 13#recoil spring and Ruger 7rd mag is quite easy to control and shoot accurately. I shoot it much better than my .38 LCR.

If Ruger would have "fixed" the original hammer fired LC9 instead of making it a striker fired gun I'd probably carry it. I don't like a light trigger in a pocket gun.

I used to carry a P-11 but found it to bulky for me to conceal during hot weather, so I carry a P-3AT laser equipped. With the right loads the 380 can meet FBI standards for gel and denim faced gel.

I shoot this gun well, and often. Groups at 8 yds aren't much bigger than 1 1/2" under controlled fire, and can usually keep them all under 3" at that distance using sustained fire.

Recently, I bought an LC9s Pro, and it is very slick! Only took 2 weeks before I let the P-11 go, had it for 10 years, but the trigger on the Pro is outstanding!

I still prefer the 380 though, just because it only weighs 12 oz fully loaded, vs 20 oz for the 9mm. I can tell the difference in the extra 1/2 lb.

The LC9s is getting a work out now, trying to get used to the extra weight. I would prefer the Pro as it is much easier to shoot due to the trigger and that extra 1/2 lb.

I ended up buying an LCP Custom for myself after spending some time with my wife's new LCP. Get it this weekend. Since the Custom comes with an 'improved' trigger and steel guide rod, I'm thinking the only improvements left are heavier spring and Hogue grip. I'll probably try the 7 rd mag too but I'm thinking that I won't like it because I can just snugly squeeze two fingers on the 6 rounder - the 7 is likely to not accommodate my pinky but just add some slack to an otherwise tight fit. We'll see which I like more, the extra round or a slightly less snug fit.

My LC9s will become a somewhat less attractive tweener between my SR9c and new LCP. So I think I'm becoming a .380 carrier - if it proves reliable after around 200 rounds.

I carry a Walther .380 PPK/S whenever I go into town, other than that around the ranch, hiking, riding, doing chores, etc. I carry my .357 GP or .41 mag Taurus.

Bersa Thunder .380. Why? Because I can shoot it very well. It's extremely accurate and totally reliable. I've carried it for about 10 years.

I've had an original LCP in my right front pocket for years. Might get a LCP II as a replacement.

I used to do the summer G42 previously an LCR 357 with hot 38's and winter SR9c carries unless I am going somewhere I really need the Ruger.
I just carry my G42 year round in a IWB polished ramp with a few tweaks from the Glock store and 2 round mag extension from Ghost Inc. much better grip.
I carry ball and critical defense no issues to date. looking into some of the new offerings from underwood ammo.

I have to remember sometimes I am wearing it.

M&P bodyguard 380

The ruger LCP is not on the approved list in MA.....the LC9 is on the list.....but i already have a Glock 26 in 9mm.
I like the BG380 size...I can carry it everywhere all the time. It never bother me like the Block....I mean glock does when it digs into my hip.
