Well I made decision last night that I hope not to regret. I stopped at the local super pawn to see what they had, their prices are the lowest in my area. They had the Taurus PT111 Millennium G2 9mm marked down to $210, it felt very good in my hand, light, slim and 12 rounds, so one went home with me!

And you know that your 226 mags fit the PT111, right?

Rather than switch guns, why not try different holsters. There's a BIG difference how much a GOOD holster makes. It's not just, pick one and that's "the one".

I have a few different guns that I can carry. LCP, Mustang, Defender, SP101, S&W 36, 640, and 66. Maybe some others I'm not thinking of right now.

One thing I found changed everything was how I carried. I was a 4'oclock IWB only for the longest time. Then I started to pocket and OWB. I have found my most comfortable and preferred is appendix IWB and my preferred gun is the 640. Although I'm toying with checking out an LC9s. If weight is an issue appendix might not be the answer. But maybe a new position or method might be.

Keep in mind changing things (whether gun, holster or position) should also come with some practice (dry and live ammo).

But don't get me wrong, I think almost any excuse is good if it's one you use to buy a new gun!!!!

Yup, I even checked it out at Cabelas. The counter guy got the PT111 out of the display case. I said "Got any 15 round Sig 226 pistols?" he said yes.

We checked and if fit perfectly. I found out when I was researching getting a PT111. Evidently someone makes a sleeve that works with the mag to match up to the Taurus grip.

Evidently Taurus picked a Mec-gar mag that was available and built a gun around it.

I ended up not buying one only cuz it was slightly larger than my SR9c. I' thought it felt smaller when I rented one. The extra 2 rounds over the SR9c is a plus.

I have over 7100 trouble free rounds thru my SR9c so I'm very comfortable with its reliability.

Still looking for a 12-13 round double stack, 17 oz, LC9s sized 9mm.....

Kimber Micro ,Kimber Micro 9mm, Ruger LCR 357, Glock 26, 30S, 19, Colt Defender 45 ACP are what I carry (not all at once) the two Kimbers, the Ruger and the 26 get the most travel time.

I have the SS SR40c and the Taurus does have a longer grip but fully loaded the Taurus feels much lighter to me and that's what I was going for, They both can use the same holster so I will swap them out occasionally. I have no idea how may rounds I have fed thru my Ruger and it eats everything from TulAmmo to Federal HST
Now that would be a sweet gun
