Maybe, if I were out in the sticks fishing or hiking, that may be a different story, but that would be an exception.
Yep. That.

I always open carry in the woods when hiking or camping. Concealed carrying makes no sense out there.

When I first started open carrying I felt a little weird about until i came across other hikers who were open carrying as well.

Would any of you walk around the streets with cash in your hand. No-the bad guys would try to take it from you. Same with a handgun. Conceal it until you need it.

Maybe, maybe not, still not your choice to make.

I was living in NC from 1981 - 2005, and it was open carry, and I did everywhere legal and always. Right before I left NC, they started CCW but I declined. Living in Florida now with a CCW, and I wish there was open carry, especially in the summer.

A J-frame or compact pistol in a Nemesis, in the front pocket works for me. Even in shorts and no shirt, if they're not too tight.

I just don't get the need to open carry unless you live at the OK corral, polar bear town, have a ranch at the boarder, or are out in the woods. CC has always been fine for me. Walking around with a rifle strapped to your back at a state fair in ridiculous. If I went to Home Depot with my coach gun hanging from my shoulder I would feel like an idiot. My choice to make.

Yep, your choice, but in your state it is about the only choice you can make.

One of the reasons I love NC, more choices.

WTSANDSTORM will become famous soon enough
Out here in "Wild" West Texas, I CC. I have seen a few OC in the local café (which condones Holstered-Preferred carry!) I spend a lot of time in rural NM, and see a fair amount of OC from the local cowboys. I asked one what he liked best, and he said OC with his Ruger .44 Single Action, using snake shot. He said that Rattlers and Coyotes are the only enemies he has. Sounds logical to me. He also said he CCs in big towns. Nobody pays attention to him in the little towns we live in. Isn't this the way it was meant to be?

I carry LCRx or Bond Arms, pocket-carry, most every place I go, here. I OC in NM while hiking or moving around, but CC in the cafés.

Good on them. Hopefully this 2 A stuff catches one.

OC has its place. And it aint in walmart. I OC at camp and out in the woods.

I prefer CC. I really DONT want a bad guy knowing Im armed until its too damn late for him to do anything about it. Like a split second before the BANG.

I learned in Scuba never to hold your breath and it's a sure thing here in Florida too: Florida's Supreme Court just ruled against OC being covered by the 2nd Amendment.

Opinion: Florida Supreme Court Rules ?Open Carry? is Not Protected By 2nd Amendment

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like we'll be stuck with only CCW.

I doubt this will stop at the FSC, it most likely will work it's way up the court chain. By then SCOTUS will be solidly conservative, and the judges most likely will use Scalia's words to shape the outcome. Heller Scalia brought up OC as the right. Other federal judges have also ruled that CC is not a right, and OC is. Now I am not saying that is right, don't blame me, just that I can see where this is going.

You may want to invest in blinders if OC drives up your blood pressure.

It's all good to me. I doubt that I would OC except if I were in the woods. I've been waiting on my CCW since December and the state is really dragging their heels.
