Congrats on the permit!
I have had mine since they came out in AZ. Renewals are great now, fill out the paperwork send in with $43 Money Order and wait a few weeks to get it in the mail. No more messy finger printing or classes involved, just renew before the expiration date.
Dealers in AZ love these especially in the panic buying time, no call in background checks.

Congratulations. Now go out there and be safe.

Indiana has a fingerprint requirement and that is all. Cost is $50 for a five year license or $75 for a lifetime license. I am just not sure why anyone here would not spend the extra $25 and get the lifetime license.

In California we count permit issue time by months. 7 months is typical. My non-resident Arizona permit took two months. Non I can drive to South Carolina without concerns about being arrested for carrying.

Next door to you here in New Mexico after the class and the competency demo at the range it only took 2 weeks to get the permit, good for 4 years.

Congrats Pam!
When I first got my CCW over five years ago it took about two weeks. When I renewed it this year it took a while, and I emailed DPS to check on it. They said at that time (March, maybe?) they were running 75 days on renewals.

Congrats!

I sent my application in on Sept 28th. With the holidays, I probably won't get it until Jan.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is experiencing a tremendous influx of concealed weapon permit applications, both new and renewal. The applications are processed in the order in which they are received, starting from the date SLED actually receives the application. Processing is taking the full ninety days on both new and renewals. Please know that we are processing all applications as quickly as possible, while maintaining the quality of backgrounds required by law. Your patience is greatly appreciated during this time.

Sometimes in Florida it takes less than a

month, but it depends on the application

volume at the time.

Congratulations.
