CCW Instructor in hot water

Here in our Ohio town, a guy I met the day he opened his business got arrested for stupid stuff. Screwing his customers over by double charging them, not finishing training them and taking money for a safe and never handing over the safe. Happened last month, I just learned of it.

CCW instructor facing theft charges arrested

I hate hearing stories like this. Responsible (legal) gun owners have been far less likely to commit crime than the general population in every study I've ever seen. I'm fond of pointing that out to my less gun friendly acquaintances.

What makes this even worse is that this guy plays the veteran card in his "advertising". While he'll likely plead out, I hope his is ostracized by the local firearms and veterans community

One look at this mutt and I wouldnt trust him to teach my dog to piss on the lawn.

I bet if someone does the digging, he either is NOT a vet, or was thrown out.

I hope they throw the book at him.

Always have been one to not hold the veteran card being waved as an automatic indication of being a hero (a WAY overused term nowadays) or being more honest and trustworthy as anyone else. Also never equated being an instructor as being someone that's above and beyond the person paying them for their supposed knowledge.

I don't do business with people who put Christian logos on their cards either , the truly faithful would not do this, their conduct speaks volumes about them good or bad.

There are ALOT of people running around trying to pass themselves off as veterans to try and gain some sort of $$$ advantage.

They are usually pretty easy to pick out, and expose if you care to do that.

SCUM,, just pure scum.

Looks like this feller took a Ruger Super Blackhawk to the forehead. Maybe that's why he's so stupid.

Serving in the military only makes you a veteran, or someone who has served in the military, nothing else. Last I checked, saint or hero was not on the list as requirements to join. Who you are as a person or what you do is what defines you. While they all should be thanked for their service, they shouldn't automatically be ranked as good people because of it

I know it hurts, but even while I served decades in the Marines and Army a lot of us Veterans have seen many dirtbags wearing the uniform and committing crimes. I know as a serving Master-at-Arms that I locked up plenty of crooks. Having served isn't a free pass to "hero" status. We all would like to think so, but reality is quite different.
