Just kidding. My carry gun never gets unloaded unless I practice and clean it, but then it gets loaded back with PD rounds

It would be a lot worse to assume it was empty when it was actually loaded.

Just as important to make sure its LOADED and functional, as it is to make sure it unloaded and safe.

Its all in the timing.

I bet ya dont do it again.

I can't exactly disagree with this statement. And yet I also feel that either mistake has the potential to be catastrophic. Thankfully, there was no harm to the OP, so we can all take this as a learning experience.

It can be unhealthy to assume either way. (loaded or unloaded)

It helps when things become habit. I load my pants pockets every morning with wallet, keys, knife, and flip the cylinder open on my SP 101, ready for the day.

I guess leaving the gun unloaded is marginally better than

forgetting to BRING the gun, which I've done before.

More than once.

You can always load an unloaded gun, VS not having it at all...

This is why I prefer the SP101 to the LCR... it doubles as a club or a throwing weapon!

Uh oh!
Now we can't have that.
Your right to carry a gun has been rescinded.
Please send your gun to me and we'll review this case....maybe.
Oh, and be sure to clean it....and include the ammo.

By following that advice, you never need to worry about it being unloaded.
