Deep Conceal LC9s Pro?

Hello fellow carriers.

I have a SA XD Mod2 9sc 3" that I carry pretty regularly. I like it a lot to say the least however there are times when an even smaller frame pistol is better suited for the situation.

So I've shot the LC9s at the range and liked it a good bit; enough to seriously consider picking one up. I am wondering how many of you might conceal via pocket or ankle carry with this gun?

What have holster / clothing have you found that works when carrying this gun in that way?

I'm 6'1 250lbs btw. Thanks in advance for any advice / warnings.

I tried mine in a desantis nemesis pocket holster. I didn't like it in my pocket it felt to bulky. Then again I'm 5'7" and 180 or so. I wound up going iwb at 1 o clock.

I have an LC9s and use an alien gear holster. Works really, really well. Can conceal under a tee shirt and shorts. I have used a DeSantis SofTuk as well, but it felt way less "planted". I like the feeling of retention I get from having 2 clips on the belt (either a regular belt, or the Bigfoot gun belt. ..)
The LC9s has been good to go with any ammo, except steel cased stuff.. I've been pleased and impressed.

I had the original LC9 so same size shape weight etc. I found it to be too big for comfortable pocket carry. Too heavy so it would bang around on my thigh a lot. And it wasn't always easy to draw from the pocket unless the pants had very large pockets.

IMO the LC9 is best carried on your belt. LCPs, LCRs, J frames etc belong in your pocket.

This works really well for my LC9s. John Jackson custom leather IWB. Keeps the weapon very close to my body (5'11" 190 lbs) I've worn it for over 12 hours at a time and even works with just a t-shirt. Like other poster, I originally thought I would pocket carry this pistol but just found it a little too big/uncomfortable to pocket carry.

OP,
I am about your same size and carry a LC9s Pro Almost every day. Some days I swap out for the 9E. I have not tried to ankle carry it yet but have been sort of looking into that myself for some situations. As for pocket, I have a heavy CCW jacket with a built in pocket holster that works just fine. Not nearly as easy access as the Alien Gear that I run with most the time. Fine compact for carry but keep in mind also the extra mag that should also be on you. I give a thumbs up when it comes to carrying a LC9s Pro.

Pocket size is the key for pocket carry. In some of my pants I can carry my LC9s with no problem. In some pants I can't. Nowadays I check before I buy. Anyway it's a wonderful gun.

here on second LC9, got the LC9s. Recently discovered belly band, prefer to wear belly band as a shoulder holster. Rig just disappers, easy access/

I prefer to use a high ride pancake style holster for most of my pistols, but have pocket carried my LC9s plenty of times. It's so light & fits in my pocket so well that I forget it's even there most of the time. The flush magazine makes it a little easier to draw from my pocket, though. You might also look at Techna-Clip... Ruger LC9 Gun Belt Clip | Techna Clip I used one with my older LC9 for a while with good results. They run around $25-$27 on ebay & in most shops.

I did pocket carry my LC9 for a while. But it was a little bulky and sometimes the pocket wanted to kind of hang open and show the bottom of the grip. It was also a little heavy for the pocket. And then I had only one front pocket left for keys and phone. (I could have used a holster for the phone, but then it might interfere with drawing the weapon.) So I have gone to IWB. Only drawback for me is that my holster isn't the tuck-able kind so it's an issue if I have to be dressy and tuck in my shirt tail. I'm hoping for one of these for Christmas: https://theisholsters.com/

Pocket carry is greatly affected by pocket size, shape, depth and ride height on the leg.

I have found a lot of great options with Duluth trading pants. The flex fire hose pants are great, I can fit a glock 19 in the pocket if I could stand the weight, but also found their DuluthFlex Sweatstop Fire Hose Utility Pants have the exact same size pockets but they ride higher on the thigh which makes pocket carrying my M&P Shield in a sticky holster very easy

OP is talking about a LC9s Pro not an LC9s.
Unless your one of them folks that does not keep one in the chamber I would never do a Techna-Clip for a LC9S Pro. No external safety weapon that needs some type of pocket holster to protect the trigger is the main factor. Would be fine I spose for a LC9s but not the Pro model.

I have ankle carried my LC9 a bit, and pocket carry occasionally. It works just fine. Just remember to wipe it down. They do rust. I use a pocket holster, and when I use a techna clip I put the gun in a pocket holster, take the safety off, and clip the whole thing IWB. Works fine.
