Blue ... I was just giving and honest opinion based on my personal experience with the product

Congrats on the purchase. IIRC, mine arrived from USPS in a timely manner

I know what you mean. When tracking their shipments it reminds me of when I'm playing golf and end up going too far over the green on the 2nd shot and then too far back over the green the other way, but eventually zeroing in on the hole.

Same with USPS. They over shoot one direction, then back the other way even though each time the over shoot gets closer to home.

Eventually it does make it here but it seems like the extra driving could add a day or more to the shipping delivery time.

Ordered mine today in 18oz leather. Hope it holds up better than the "heavy duty" belt I have now.

bcc454 ... While I don't know your expectations for a belt, and while I'm not particularly hard on belts (have had a number of belts that have lasted 5+ years), mine has held up extremely well (exhibiting minimal signs of wear) during the 1st 5 months of daily use.

I've attached a picture taken today for comparison

Buck, Thanks again for your advice.

My 14 oz arrived today. Black with black hardware for $71 and change shipped. As one can tell from my posts in this thread the shipping was fast even considering that it was shipped USPS flat rate. It came well packaged. The belt was in a brown plastic zip lock bag with extra protection around the buckle. Even sent a sticker. The belt could not have looked more perfect. I gave it a good lookover and could not see any imperfections anywhere. The quality is truly top notch. Even before putting the belt on I knew that my money was well spent. I pulled my holster (Alien Gear 3.0 Tuck IWB) and the POS belt I was wearing. Wrapped the Bigfoot in the loops and dropped in my holster. With the Bigfoot belt my holster really locks onto it. With my POS belt my holster did not move much at all but with this belt it is worlds of a difference. Holds the holster tight without having to have my belt over tight.

Bigfoot gun belts now has another big fan right here. I will be a repeat customer.

I am enjoying the 14 oz the past several months myself and one reason is the roller belt buckle, doesn't mar the leather , the belt still looks good even on the edges.
Enjoy
Mike

BTW I wear this belt every day.

I hope I get mine soon. Ordered it yesterday but they said it could take 10 days or more. Maybe because it's 18oz? or they give conservative estimates...we will see.

It looks great. The one I have now, is all out of shape. I think the steel core is a great idea, especially if you ever carry a larger gun OWB.

Are you still happy with the belt? I know it has only been a month or so since your last post, but things can change, especially with weather conditions getting colder. Also, kind of an odd question, but with a steel core, would this belt set off the TSA scanners at an airport?

Looks like a good belt and I may have to get one.

Nineround ... In answer to your questions:
1. Still very happy with the belt. Still wear it daily for the most part with no issues.
2. Great question but I have no clue if it would be an issue at the airport .

They seem to flux a little on this but my last three flights over the past month I had to take my belt off in the regular TSA screening line. When I am in the TSA pre line I still take the steel core off I assume it would set it off. They always go sir you can leave it on but I just tell then It's a special belt and will set off the scanner.

For about 2-3 weeks I've been wearing a Bigfoot belt every day. I got the brown one w/ the black buckle & w/out the steel core.

I didn't even get mine mainly to help me support a gun. I work in a prison (non-uniformed position) & carry a walkie-talkie, set of prison keys, & small flashlight on my belt daily. My last leather dress belt (which I hadn't had all that long) was designed so that it had closely-spaced adjustment holes from one end to the other. B/c the holes were so close together, the one I used ripped out into the next larger hole, which meant my belt was too loose & that my equipment was pulling my pants down. That got old fast, so I Googled "gun belt" & wound up on Bigfoot's site.

The belts looked plenty sturdy, plus I didn't want the added weight of the steel core, so I opted for the one w/out it. They had a helpful video to take the guesswork out of picking the right size.

The belt arrived in less than a week. At 1st I thought it was too beefy & worried that it wouldn't fit through my belt loops, but it did w/ no problem. I told my wife that I wasn't crazy about the "plain Jane" look of it, but she said she liked it & that you could tell just by looking at it that it was a high-quality belt. She's right, & the look of it has grown on me. It doesn't scream "DUTY BELT!!!," either, & looks fine both w/ cargo shorts or w/ Dockers & a dress shirt & tie. It would work for all but the most dressy occasions.

Most importantly, it has *eliminated* my annoying sag problem. I used to wonder if a good gun belt was really any better than a good leather dress belt, but not anymore. The Bigfoot belt wasn't cheap (almost $70 w/ shipping), but it will quite possibly save me money in the long run by outlasting the dress belts I used to buy. It *definitely* outperforms them.
