Didn't carry too much at home until local Leo had to take down a bg near my house. Now I carry all of the time.

Yes, with a larger sidearm, shotgun or rifle located where I can work my way to it if needed. Once you've had someone try to ambush you at or near your house you quickly realize how fraigle personal safety can be.

IN the house...Gen II Glock 23...or Remington 870 Tactial in 20 ga...it's my wife's, but she absolutely LOVES shooting it! Loaded with #3 shot...it's devastating at close range!

I carry as often as possible, including in my house. Intruders may not want to wait for you to run and grab your gun.

well i have a S&W M&P9C 9mm that is my normal CCW, but while I am at home I have started in home carrying my SR22P, as it is very small, light, and holds 11 rounds. I have been practicing with the 3D Head target

I live in Oregon, it is safe, Right (oh wait there is no place on earth that is safe any more) I have a gated house that's safe, Right (oh wait criminals have cars and can drive to my house cant they and get past my gate and come through a window like a unlocked door Day or night)

Oh yea but that why we have GUNS!!!

carry at home and we have several loaded and ready revolvers located up on curio cabinets out of sight but easilly gotten if needed....My home carry is just an sp101 snup 38 special that gets carried if my clothing allows...never carry outside as we are close enough to a school to violate the law if I'd leave the yard for any time at all. Nightstands are both armed.

This is cause for beefed up security so I purchased a RUGER P95. I went to a gun show here in El paso & bought ammo & a nylon shoulder holster. I have a belt holster but prefer the shoulder rig.Just feels good & most of us 53 yr olds have too much already around the waist!

Anyway I carry this 9mm in my home & dont think a thing about it. I dont even notice its there most of the time.Several years in Scouts in the Army & several trips already to the range tells me if Mr Felon comes visiting,he aint gonna be happy!
QUESTION:
1-Do YOU carry IN your home?
2-What type of weapon/ammo do YOU carry?
Thanks for the replies, stay safe & This SCOUTS OUT!
I only carry when I'm dressed! But at night, it's bedside.

I use either Winchester PDX1 or Speer Gold Dot. But I did try out a box of Remington Golden Sabre in 185 +P 45 JHP and was very favorably impressed!

Home Carry

No, but I have several guns placed around the house. Out of sight, but easy for us to reach, should the need ever arise. And, when grand kids visit I put the guns under lock and key.

Yes.

As soon as I get home, I take off my Springfield XDS or XD9SC and put on my Ruger SR1911. It is my home defense weapon.

Honestly, in my home I don't have a gun on my 100% of the time.

When I do, my NAA Mini .22 LR revolver inside a cigar box is easy to keep in the pocket of a pair of shorts or windpants. The cigar box keeps the gun from tearing up the pockets of my pants, and also makes it more concealable when I'm out and about.

+1 on locking the guns up when the grandkids visit - a reason why I choose not to keep guns strategically located around the house. I usually keep a Beretta Nano in my pocket or close by. In the bedroom I keep an SR40C and its large magazine in a SpeedVault and of course the Nano that followed me there.
