quite a bit of stuff, actually. but I use it regularly.
G-20, 2 20 rnd reloads
Cold steel XL voyager
4" +- straight knife I made, IWB. this nife is my primary used for everything, kept shaving sharp or nearly so.
zippo
4-sevens flashlight
pen
phone most of the time
ferro rods
keys/spare keys
3 decades of H2H training
spare mag in vest along with heat sheet, paracord, more firestarting gear.
other odds and ends.
most of this stuff has proven itself very handy, if not essential.

basics are a good knife and a way to start a fire.

Cop on the phone - good advice

For example, if you say "I just shot somebody who was attacking me.", what will got out on the air is "Report of a shooting.", and you'll be the suspect. If, on the other hand, you say "I was attacked by somebody and shot them.", it will go out as "Report of an assault with shots fired." and you'll be the victim.

+10 on this. Our CWP instructor gave us a very similar type of speech. His advice was the same. Be the first to tell your story. Also, be clear that you were Never so scared in your life. This also helps with any self defense discussions with Monday morning quarterbacks who are assessing your actions after the fact. I thought this might be more related to SC, but it appears this is good advice all over. It helps bolster the point that lethal force was justified.

In addition to my CCW gun which is a S&W Shield fitted w/ an Apex Duty Carry Trigger kit and AmeriGlo I-dot Pro sights. I carry 2 additional 8rd mags as well. The gun and 1 extra mag loaded with Speer 124gr +P Gold Dot HP LE ammo and 1 other extra mag loaded with old original Black Talon 147gr.

I also carry a good size can of Sabre brand "3 in 1" Advanced Police Strength Spray in my weak hand front pocket and an additional Sabre "3 in 1" unit connected to my car keys.

I carried a Case Trapper for years. Great knife. But when I started carrying a small flashlight, it got bumped from it's place in my pocket and replaced by a folder with a clip: SOG Twitch or a Spyderco Native. I can't see me carrying one of the Kubotan thingys nor all those keys attached either. I just carry the one car key. Other than that it's the normal wallet, cash, cellphone, gun and reloads.

I aways have a Benchmade folder in my pocket mainly because I use pocket knife a lot. The fact it's a great defensive tool is a bonus.

The most important thing I carry is SA (situational awareness). I pay attention and try to be aware of everything around me and especially any humans. I avoid places and circumstances that are high risk and I try to create a posture and attitude of calm assertiveness. Avoiding a conflict is better than being armed to deal with one. I'm also armed but that's my last line of defense.

I carry a small flashlight. Great for blinding an attacker

long enough to get away. Also a multi-tool. I just need it

for dozens of daily work tasks.

Of the three, I would say my gun is the least used, and

the least needed.

Extra mag and two (2) knives.

I always have an "EDC" type knife clipped inside my front pocket.

FLA allows carry of automatic knives, so I have a favorite Microtech I carry. I recently began carrying a fixed blade while carrying my firearm. I really like Strider. This is one I recently acquired. Granted it is on the large side, but I have a smaller one I carry as well.

Larger one: Strider DL OD

Smaller one: Monkey Edge - Strider Knives Fixed: PR Gunner Grip
