SWMBO has one, was recalled, gone a week. 100rds or so through it, mostly ball just to shoot it. Lllooonnnggg trigger pull! But smooth. Surprised at the accuracy. Just put a CT laser on it. Miserable weather, haven't had a chance to wring it out yet. Wish .380's weren't so pricey!
Bob
PS: I want one!

I have one. The trigger broke before I put 30 rounds through it. I sent it back to Ruger a few days before the recall was announced, so they held onto it until the recall parts were ready. I got it back a few days before Christmas and haven't shot it yet. It's a gun that seems to have a lot of different problems. I know that any gun can slip through QC and have to go back - with any manufacturer. I'm just not sold enough on the gun to go through a lot of gyrations trying to make it reliable when I have other guns that have been reliable out of the box. I'll get around to shooting it again one of these days and have more of an opinion about it then.

I have a couple hundred rounds through mine, mostly pre-recall, but some after. It has been completely reliable so far, and is plenty accurate if you can do your part. The laser sight will be a major help, when I get around to that. It is way too tiny for my rather largish hands, but I have adapted and can shoot it well enough at 5-7 yards. Adding the laser should extend that somewhat.
The one problem I have had with it was leading in the chamber, when I fired about a dozen Buffalo Bore 100 grain Hardcast +P's through it. It fired them fine, ejected and reloaded OK, too. But when I went to unload a live round from the chamber, it was stuck. I managed to get the slide off and remove the barrel, and was able to tap it out safely.
So I just don't shoot unjacketed lead bullets through it, any more. No big deal.

I was considering the LCP but now that the LCR is out or about to come out then thats what I'm going with. I have an SP101 that I use but something lighter would be nice.
I have heard the LCP isn't bad accuracy wise so post reports when you get out and fire.

Anyone hear any more rumors about a 9mm LCP being in the works?

I bought one new. It went back to Ruger on the recall. Not shot it much. Long trigger pull. Shoots good at 10 yds if I do my part. Like my Kimber 45 better but it's not as easy to carry.
380 ammo is hard to find and it cost more than 9mm. 20 round box of Fed HS were 21 bucks.

I have a friend who owns a gun shop. I got one not too long after they came out. I've never had any problem with mine. I have the Crimson Trace laser on it and love it. I got it back from the recall this past Friday. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.

I'm jealous that you got one. I've got my name on the waiting list at the local gun store for the Keltec model. Guy told me the other day that neither Ruger nor Keltec were sending any out at the moment.
Guess I'll just keep toting the the G27 until then. Lucky me I'm first on the waiting list.

I had one. It turned out to be every bit as reliable as the Kel-Tec P3AT that I owned so I got rid of it. And the P-40 I got rid of. And the P-11 I got rid of. The P32 I foolishly sold to fund the P3AT was at least reliable if horribly under powered.
Someone please beat me senseless if I EVER again buy anything that even slightly resembles something KT or SKYY designed. At one point in time I thought that there was nothing wrong with the design of KT pistols, that it was just poor implementation and parts that are only marginally strong enough. Ruger proved that to be a fallacy.

Word is that Ruger got a bad batch of triggers, so some of that batch failed. They had the "may fire if dropped" problem with the SR9 also. Unbelievable! I think I'd wiat until the LCR was well tested before I'd buy one. The LCP is just SSOOOOO easy to carry!!
Had an issue with the CT, one of the 2 set screws the secures it to the trigger guard apparently wasn't tapped so the screw wouldn't catch. Called CT and Heidi is shipping another today or tomorrow. "Just send yours back with the enclosed shipping label with the new one." How's that for customer service? Would have been better with no problem to start with, of course. But still, no "send us yours first" BS.
Stay safe.
Bob
PS: Grabbed a box of Hornady Critical Defense at a gun show last weekend.
