I have a 3" sp101 . I carry it in either a pancake style OWB or an IWB similar to the milt sparks style. I am fortunate in that I have been making holsters for a while. When I started carrying concealed years ago I soon realized I needed to dress around the gun. What I mean is you might want to forego that thin t shirt for something a little more concealing, say an unbuttoned shirt over the T shirt. With a little thought you can remain concealed and still be comfortable.

I use a clip Draw , It works great Google it . I clip it about 3 o'clock IWB stays there all day. I only carry one of two guns , my LC9 or my 101.

I have had Ruger SP101's in both 3 inch & 2.25 versions. My current CCW revolver is nearly the same size & weight as the Ruger SP101 2.25. My gun is a Taurus Model 605 .357/.38 special but with a 2 inch barrel. I got counting the other day, I have 5 Holsters! The one I use the most is a Galco belt holster strong side right hand leather holster for a Ruger LCR my Taurus fits great but it doesn't hug my waist very tight. 2 years ago a Ruger forum member had a nice leather IWB holster for sale that is made for a 3 inch SP101. I bought it very nice & my Taurus fits great. My problem I find the IWB Holsters hard to get use to & my Taurus at 22-25 oz's unloaded is heavy! Now thinking of savingn& getting a .357 LCR or hoping Ruger will make a .357 LCRX! Weight is the big issue with me. Even my current Taurus PT709 is heavy but not as bad as my 605.

This is an older Bianchi, it's been my daily summer carry for several years. Mild forward cant and a good thumb-break. Old photo, and it was well worn even then. The little "Pig" still carries high and very tight to my body.

Most of the time it is this, Sideguard Quick Clip. The clip is behind and 'even with' the cylinder just as it should be, very comfortable. As I am pretty heavy, I always wear a cover shirt.

I am an IWB guy, shirt un-tucked. My CCW of choice is my Taurus PT709 (after I ditched my LC9) I have the 4.2 sp101 and I love it, but it's an open carry piece. good luck, you are gonna end up with several different holsters.

I got a 3in sp101 that I can finally carry appendix IWB . I use a MIC Holster. Once the cylinder is past the waistband, it dissappears with just a t shirt.

2.25" sP101 in a SIMPLY RUGGED Silver Dollar Pancake. Crossdraw or strong side. Same holster. Optional and removable inside waistband loops add additional vesatility. Wear with one of his Simply Rugged belts. The good belt is more than half the equation.

Same revolver as the OP. Don Hume PCCH, in the waistband at 3:00 o'clock. Two speed strips in the right hand back pocket.

My wife uses a Simply Rugged pancake for her SP 101 4.2" either in the woods or CC. I am 2 additional Simply Rugged pancakes and really like the way they fit my beer belly and the way they fit the guns.

Make my own rigs. Take what I liked from the various ones i have had and exclude what I hated about those too. Made dozens for my guns. I carry a wheelgun daily in a rig I made a few years ago. It's served me well. Try a few till ya find what ya like.

SP 101 357 mag with a 3 inch barrel in a Simply Rugged silver dollar pancake with IWB straps works fine. Waiting on a PS6DA for Double Action Revolvers from Mernickle. Weather here was only in the 90's today humidity felt like the same.

I've got the 2.25 in. sp101 in an Alien Gear holster, worn at 4:30. Had it about 1 1/2 months and I'm already forgetting it's there. It has been the most comfortable holster for me so far. I wear it on a 2 in. belt and loose fitting shirt, works for me.

I carry my SP101 daily.

I wear a Desantis 1 1/2" gun belt, because that is what my local gun store stocks and it only costs $20. It is stiff enough to carry a SP101 with no problems.

For when I need to really conceal it, it rides in a Desantis IWB "Insider". It is a low ride, deep conceal leather holster that makes the SP101 disappear at the 1:00 position. I can wear shorts, t-shirts.. what ever and it does not print at all (I use the stock ruger grips, they are great for concealing).

For normal carry, It rides in an OWB Desantis thumb break scabbard. It has two position belt holes to wear it, I prefer a forward cant at 3:00 and it is easy to draw that way. Since it is forward cant on my side at 3:00, the grip doesn't print much at all and a simple button up shirt or equivalent will hide it fine.

Personally, I think a SP101 is easy to carry and I don't get all this talk about it being heavy. Then again.... my dedicated daily knife is a Buck 110 that rides in a belt sheath.. and most people say the 110 is too heavy and too large for most... so, perhaps its just me
