Bozz48 will become famous soon enough
I needed some stuff from Advance Auto, so that was my first conceal carry almost 2 years ago. Walmart was second. Tomorrow it will be, of all things, a funeral.

Honestly, I don't remember. That was back in 1967 and in another state. Wasn't a big deal then. Carry permit was a hand written card signed by the local sheriff.

So, back in OH, it was a dog walk. Long enough ago that I didn't have a good rig for the bersa.
Got the SC blasting last week, so last night we did some errands. . Looked at a rental house, dinner at a lousy tex mex place (hey, it was new, wanted to try it. Won't go back..) then to Sam's Club. Does that count for my Wally Walk??
Felt good. Need a slightly better belt, but I knew that. Had the LC9s in an Alien gear holster. Love that jolster. Next will be the DeSantis sof tuck in the small of the back.

I voted for work. I picked my permit up on a tues, bought my lc9s on wed. So thursday morning I left my house heading to work carrying my lc9s. The first public place I CC was to the packy that friday after work. I was so nervice walking in that night. I thought everyone was gonna be looking at me or while standing inline the person behind me was gonna see my gun. Now it's just second nature.

I was nervous as well and if I remember correctly I first carried at Wal-Mart or possibly the Mall? Second nature to me now too.

I clearly remember exactly how self conscious I was the first couple times I carried. I was one of the first batch of folks to get a CCW permit in IL. There were very few fellow permit holders at the time. I was fairly certain I was the only (legally) armed person nearly everywhere I went. I was absolutely certain I would lift my arms and expose my gun causing hysteria or some such thing. I can't say I recall when that uneasiness wore off - I just remember tugging my sweater or shirt tail constantly. With a lot of range time and some good training I got a lot more confident and a whole lot more comfortable. Hardly ever go out without carrying any more. Can't say exactly why it concerned me initially - just can't forget that initial feeling.

Out the side door. My CPL instructor emphasized getting into a routine of carrying every day. Wallet, keys, money, sidearm. Get used to carrying every time you leave the house. So I do just that.

first carry was out for errands. grocery store, gas, cabelas. man did it ever feel strange. i cc my lc9s @4 o'clock iwb. after a week or so i got more comfortable and it becomes "normal". as the warmer weather comes i will most likely pocket carry my lcp as my summer attire will less likely conceal a sidearm in my waistband.

i do notice that i am more vigilant and aware of my surroundings while armed, which is about 75% of the time out of my home. in CT a small state, daily routine can easily bring me across state lines which is a big no-no. reciprocity would make life easier for law abiding, armed citizens. jmho
