I remember just going out and doing what I always do, only I was carrying a Sig P239 and a spare mag. The only difference between then and now is that I alternate my Sig P238 when it's really hot out. I look at it the same way I do about carrying a pocket knife or wearing a watch. It's just another piece of gear that I carry.

Mine was to the grocery store. I was incredibly paranoid because I didn't know how to dress appropriately for carrying such a large gun (SR9), and my t-shirt wasn't long enough to hide it very well. Since then, I'm more careful when selecting clothing, and I've purchased an LCP so that I can comfortably carry every day, even when I'm unable to conceal the SR9.

I think everyone who's new to CC goes through the paranoia phase. Now I'm only paranoid if I go out with an empty holster. I think I've done that twice. The holster is a regular part of my attire, so I don't dress without one. But choosing which gun and which holster is like figuring out which shoes to wear. And now I always consider how well something will allow for concealment whenever choosing new clothes.

i am in minnesota...we have the open carry, u dont have to conceal it.
today was my first day wearing it out in public. went to the gas station, then to my store, and then to subway for lunch.
feels really weird, but good, wearing it. im gonna open carry for a bit, just until i find a good concealed holster that i like.

Also, while at the gas station, pumping gas, an older lady pulled up to the next pump, and noticed my gun, she asked "Are you a cop". I replied "No ma'am i am not a police officer".
She then asked "Why do you have a gun?" I simply replied " to save lives when there isn't a cop around".
She just said, "be careful guns are dangerous".

LOL

I went straight to the shopping mall, just a few short years ago, strolling from one end to the other, just to see how it felt.

Holstering a P239 on my hip with an untucked, over-sized sweatshirt concealing the firearm, I could have sworn every person who looked at me was staring at the "bulge" and wondering what on earth I was thinking by sneaking a gun around in a public place. Talk about self-conscious!

Its weird for me, having never been a "gun person" my entire life until fairly recently (age 50). Even though its legal here for anyone to open-carry and anyone with a permit to conceal-carry, I always feel like I'm getting away with something, like I am part of some secret club - LOL.

Its funny too that my wife and son say its kinda weird for me to carry or keep one in the car, but guess who asks if I am "carrying" when they feel the least bit concerned about a situation or place we are visiting!?!

I think i went to the bank and grocery store with my SP101. I had it in a Crossbreed super tuck that came with the gun. I did not adjust it correctly because I didn't know that was an option. I needed more cant. It was early spring so I could wear a light jacket. The grip definately would have shown with just a tee. I know carry an LC9s everywhere without a worry.

Have had my CCW for about 10 years now and still have not carried concealed yet.

Just have not needed to. Guess I'm lucky.

I was volunteering at a place for people who were in job transition. The leader of the organization had become a friend and I knew he had a CC license.
Soon after I got mine, I went into the office carrying my Glock 36 .45. When the leader and I had a moment to ourselves, I looked at him and said, "Hey, buddy, am I printing?"
He laughed, said, "Nope!" and gave me a high five.

I think this was a "loaded" question. Loaded with buckshot.

I cant remember something like that from almost 30 years ago.

edit"

I can remember the gun, a Beretta 92FS.

Do I get credit for that ?
