Powder load for brass 1858 Rem .44?

I just recently bought an 1858 Remington New Army .44 made by Pietta. Standard load is 30 grains, but, I've heard that the brass frames can warp if you use 30 and have been told to use 20-25 grains. Anybody have any first hand experience on what works best?

I fired a brass framed 36 caliber navy colt copy and 6000 of the max load bent the frame.

Powder load

I usually use 24 gr. of Pyrodex. I have used 30 gr. but it is just as accurate w/ 24. My Pietta (12" brass) is 3 years old and has never stretched. I know this because I measured mine with a feeler between the cylinder and forcing cone when new.

I've shot thousands of rounds through an Uberti brass framed 44, between 26-28 and never seen any changes.
