I'm confused.....13 to 14 cents a year ago was okay but 14 cents today isn't okay? I was thinking they were only about 8 cent a round a year ago and still think 15 cents today is not to bad for specialty ammo.

He ask if 15 cents was too much, and I replied "no"

Vecolitors are good rounds, but too expensive to shoot a lot, IMHO. I bought a box of 50 about a year ago for about $7.50 (they were scarce here even then, before the most recent shortages). I still have a few left. So, 15 cents apiece is not unreasonable. I would buy a box of 50 if I could find them, but probably not a box of 500.

Here is the thing. Each of us has to choose our price point based on our need, wants and budget.

A few months ago I bought some Eley for $0.20pr. I had zero 22lr on hand. I wanted to have some on hand so I could take my granddaughters out to the range and let them have their first trigger pulls this year on the 50th birthday of my first rifle. So my need dictated the price.

That task is complete. Now I refuse to buy at more than $0.07 and even then have pause. Now I prefer $0.05. That is MY price point. Its based on MY needs and MY budget. I have a good 8000rds of 22 alone. Throw in all the 17hmr, 223, 30-06, 9mm and 38spcl I have and I am up to 5 40mm ammo cans full of ammo with 3 additional 30cal cans for range trips. I don't NEED high priced ammo. I can be patient and look for good prices.

So for me, yea $0.15pr is too much. Way too much. For you? That is something you must decide. How bad do you need it? How soon do you need it? How much of it do you need? Only you can answer those and your answers will dictate whether the price is within reason for you.

I wouldn't personally pay even $58 for Velocitor. But that is because in the 5 or 6 10/22s I have tried it in, it has never shot all that well. I don't use it

I honestly will never order anything from Midway anymore. I've had horrible customer service with them and their Shipping and Handling is outrageous.

You tried Gunbot or Ammoseek yet?

They shoot okay in mine but just okay, nothing special about them. But my Henrys really loves them as do a few SA revolvers.
