I will be contacting Midway USA. They charge for this "shipping service". Larry Potterfield needs to gather his crew for a stern lecture...

The boxes of ammo were tossed in the bottom of a box with no wrapping, and a strip of "air bags" placed over them.
Amazingly, all the rounds were still there, although some were under the flaps and soon to exit the carton.

What a contrast to a recent shipment from Cabela's where the ammo boxes were tightly sealed in bubble wrap packaging that protected them.

I believe Midway shipping charges are relatively high as well.
No excuse for such poor packing.

I conqure they charge out the a** for shipping. You should contact them and express your dissatisfaction with their service.

I just this past week got an order of Sierra Matchking .223 77 gr HPBT bullets from Midway. Same thing here - the 2 boxes of 500 each were just thrown in a box with some air cushion paks. The side of the box was torn open and one of the boxes of bullets was just about completely out of the box. Fortunately, Sierra wraps their boxes of bullets in heavy cellophane or the bullets would have been spilling out.

That is about the 5th box from Midway this year that has had severe damage. In one case, a magazine and 3 boxes of bullets were missing. Midway couldn't even replace them because they were out of stock. They did refund my money.

I agree, Midway needs a lesson in packing - especially heavy small items. Air paks and peanuts don't cut it for that sort of cargo.

I'm starting to wonder if Midway has a crew of disgruntled shipping employees. This isn't my first beat-up order from them either.
The contrast to the last two beautifully packed orders I received from Cabela's is astounding.

This is highly disappointing. This is really bad timing with the post about their high shipping costs. They had 22lr in stock last week and wanted $16 for the ammo and $21 for the shipping.

I have lost all trust in this company. I am sure they monitor this site, and hopefully they will post and explination.

Amazing, not sure what to say?

Are you sure that it wasn't a "re-pack" by the shipping company?

Sorry Jrider for you crappily packed ammo! Remember I had the exact same thing happen to my Midway ammo orders too. Midway has the highest ammo shipping costs that I've encountered and the very very worst packing out of all the online ammo stores that I've ordered from. Hope they take care of you. Hmpf!!!!

Shipping Stinks!

Oh for Pete Sake

All of my orders from midway are packed the same way, all the stuff is put in the bottom and a layer of bubble wrap is placed on top. That is not the way to protect the contents of a package. For what they charge they should do better.

Thanks for the links sightngrl,

I like how in the previous posts, people wanted to blame the UPS man. If you pack it properly, (like you should for $21) the UPS man cant hurt it. Unless he backs over it with the truck.

I think that stinks. With Cabelas I have never had a bad shipment.
