$20 for 50 rounds? I don't do business with price jackers.

+1

I can find it at Walmart for around $13 - I can't see paying any more than that...it's hard to find, but not THAT hard to find.

These are tough times. Do what you have to, to keep shooting. But, I would wait a bit before stocking up. There are still some ok deals to be had. Walmart is definitely one.

I know the feeling. I was in the same boat a couple of months ago. My advice: don't let the price gougers get you. It's not worth it. Keep an eye out at Walmart (I walk past the ammo case every time I go in) and any LGS that don't jack up the prices. Personally, I wouldn't spend more than about $15 on a 50 round box or $25 on a 100 round box of 9mm. Good luck my friend, and happy hunting.

I agree with doing what you want to do to keep shooting. $20 is a little high, but not that high for S&B. If it's worth it to you to go shooting, then by all means pick up a few boxes. Take a look at gunbot and ammoseek for prices of ammo that is actually in stock.

It's great to sit there and say that you have WWB at low prices where you live, but it doesn't do anything for us who live where the shelves are bare. I can get reman ammo from the manufacturer at $80/250 and new for $92/box of 250 but that doesn't include the cost of gas for a 140 mile round trip.

It's all about what's available to you, your price tolerance, and desire to get out to the range.

$22-$25 for 100 rounds is where I buy 9mm at. I don't pay gougers, period. If I don't have ammo, I go fishing or reload.

So they doubled the price I see. I would like to say a swear word right now but won't.

Very true. The local Dick's Sports keeps telling me they have Remington 9mm @ ~$15 / box of 50.
It's never in stock when I'm at the store.

Was in our local hardware store yesterday, they had one box of Winchester white box of 9mm (100rds) for 31.99 same stuff they were selling for 21 bucks two months ago. I passed on it but then my brother calls to see if I found any ammo told him about the one box, he wanted it so I picked it up for him. No way I would have bought it for myself, but he's low on ammo. I sold him 400 rounds last month for what I had paid for it (108.00) and he hasn't been able to find any more. He wanted to buy more from me but he left his brass lay after shooting, I told him no empty brass no ammo. I think he learned his lesson and he should be bring me some empty brass this time.

I just back from Walmat near me. They had 9mm Federal Premium 135 grain hydra-shok for $22.27 for a 20 round box. They had three boxes and let me have all three. Don't know if this a good price. But there are no 9mm ammo to be had around here.

Cabela's had S&B 9mm, 115 FMJ, on their web site for $15.99 a box of 50 today. Didn't last long though.
