I'm wondering how soon the retailers REALLY jack up the pricing, after all, if that subsonic at 12-cents a round sells out in 9-minutes, why not sell it at 15 or 18 cents a round? What's the big deal to them if it take an extra 15-minutes or so to sell out?
Wow, that's a scary thought.

Wow, that's a scary thought. | Yep, subsonic - that also does horribly in regular-length standard 1:16 twist 22 barrels to boot!
So it's either a rush of enthusiasts with 1:11.25 twist custom barrels or very hard up folks!
Sgammo has been level with prices. They don't seem to crank it. At least not nearly as high as some others.
Lets hope you're wrong on that last part!

Yesterday gunbot for the first time was requiring a registration and login to use their sight for 22lr and 9mm...
My choice was NOT to agree to the terms and NOT to be in their registry as IMO it is simply not worth being in a data base of that nature...
Today it was open again...so I am back using it again...
Almost got several good deals on 22lr in the past weeks but just missed the boat on all of them but did do well recently on some 9mm...
Very good site imo...

There's been a slew of 9, 45, 223 and 12ga go through sgammo yesterday and today but I don't post those...just 22.
Seems the supply line in one place reflects on other places.
Feast or famine and once the dinner bell rings, you'd better run (and have your CC# on your clipboard ready to paste).

Feast or famine and once the dinner bell rings, you'd better run (and have your CC# on your clipboard ready to paste). | It's been pretty slow on gunbot for 22LR this weekend, unless you want to pay alot. Outside of some Remington much earlier in the weekend, just wasn't quick enough.
Yeah, my cats are starting to get used to the gunbot beep, I hear that sound off and I jump, they scramble outa the way, much like Pavlov's dog, ha! |

Gunbot and ammoseek seem pretty good...I think I've a few minutes advantage on those. Right after I get an alert about ammo on sgammo, there's about 5-10 minutes before I see the rush. Which I assume are the gunbot and ammoseek folks flooding in.
I'm sure the cats still give you the cat look of disgust just out of spite even if they're used to it! |

I missed out on the last ammo because my cat was on the internet buying catnip. |

I still like gunbot...hope they do well...
However...I think they fuel the fire...
Notice that anything 22lr that is only 2x the normal price is gone is seconds...
At 3x the normal price you have a chance if you are fast...
At 4x the normal price you can have as much as you can afford and are willing to pay...
Thank you CommieCrats in the District of Corruption... |

Wow, that's a scary thought. | I have bought this in the past and the normal price is $35 to $45 a brick. It is excellant ammo but with limited uses. It will keyhole after about 25 yards with the twist in most barrels so you need a special high twist barrel or plan on using it up close in pistols. By the way up close in a pistol it has a lot of energy.

Yeah, last week, accidently fell asleep on the sofa before I was able to get the catnip stored away, yes, you guessed it. I woke up at 2 AM covered in cat nip. it was everywhere, me, the sofa, coffee table, remotes, newspapers, carpet and the cats. Man alive, what a mess, and it was the good stuff, 1/2 pound of the organic stuff too.
Insult to injury, I missed a fair price on CCI mini-mags on gunbot, little monsters could have at least ordered it for me.
You guys seen how much ammo has gone up recently with the vendors on the gunbot?

I have enough .22 LR on hand that I hope I never have to reduce myself to having to pay so much for some .22 LR ammo. Absolutely crazy the gouging/hoarding going on right now. I used to have more faith in the people within the "gun community", but not any more. I have seen that no matter what the cause, human nature will always prevail. Sad state of affairs. |

I've not watched gunbot or ammoseek lately but it does seem sgammo is playing nice. Prices up some but I don't think they're gouging. Midway isn't either.
I just wait for ammo to hit one of those. I'm sure supply is doled out in a somewhat round-robin fashion so it gets everywhere eventually.

Its people just trying to make a buck from people new to the gun hobby.
