My first handgun was a used S&W model 10 purchased 20 years ago. Was excited to get it then and 20 years later it's still my nightstand gun. It's the only handgun I own that my wife is comfortable shooting.

I love 38 especially in today's modern loads. It is a great self defense round, and a great CCW. I have 3 Colt snubbies. I like the Colts because of the 5 round capacity. My main carry is a Colt Cobra. Great weapons.

Thanks, I thought so, too. With .38Spl being my only "man card" round these days, I thought the RF could use some fresh appreciation of how good it is. Most people view it as a practice round for their .357, which is IMHO too good for SD.

You're still waiting for the governor to call before your wife throws the switch on Valentine's Day.........

I've been reloading the 38's for a while. Last night I started sorting out 1,300 rds of 38 brass that I just acquired. The 38 Special is an easy round to reload.
I load a lot of wad cutters for practice. My youngest daughter, grand daughter and myself all have 38's plus I can practice with my GP-100.
