All I NEED is a box of JHP's & they can have all of the rest they need.

BTW: Attempting full disclosure; The web site on which this article, written by Paul Watson, appears is called "ALEX JONES' INFOWARS.COM". This is a quote from the article: "Such massive quantities of ammo purchases have stoked fears that the agency is preparing for some kind of domestic unrest."

I don't know about the rest of you BUT, I call this irresponsible at the least. This is how people get all stirred up by how our government operates. Taking wild guesses & publishing them is dangerous, ignorant & stupid.

Hey guys,

When the infamous Bonnie & Clyde, were the most hunted outlaws of the land. They got their guns and ammo by stealing from the national guard armory... Something to consider!!! Outlaws do not buy weapons when they can steal them....

Thumbs down Now the reason of Ammo Shortage's

Now we are seeing a two sided problem with the nation wide ammo shortage! The public buying alot of the ammo up, plus now the government the Dept. of Homeland Security!!
Yesterday in another thread some one left a link on where you could buy a brick of 500 rounds of .22LR ammo! It was close to $115.00-$119.00 per 500 rounds!! Hell that's getting as bad as center fire ammo!!!

Enough to wage a 30 year war. That gives ammo stackers a benchmark. Until you have 30 years worth, keep buying. (and I'm not being sarcastic here)

If the security forces in your own "free" country feel the need to have that much ammo, nothing good can come from it. At least not for the free person.

" ...the DHS purchased no less than 7,000 fully automatic assault rifles, labeling them “Personal Defense Weapons.”

I wish I could legally own one of these personal defense weapons!

Uh, I think you miss the point. This is NOT the military. NOT the Dept. of Defense. NOT the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, or Air Force.

IT'S HOMELAND SECURITY THAT MADE THESE PURCHASES. Stop and think about that for a minute or two. Does it give you just a little tinge of concern?

I have the sense you voted for Mr. Obama, believe the rich don't pay their fair share, and believe that those who want to balance the budget and believe in the Constitution are "extremists."

Am I wrong?

Its hard to get hard accurate facts but I believe the United States ordered 22 billion rounds of ammo during the entire WWII period. I post this as a comparison.

The govt is not going to start killing civilians. That's crazy talk (although sort of entertaining).

I'm sure this ammo has multiple destinations and planned uses that don't involve mowing down gaggles of civilians. Maybe they plan to protect us from the zombies? Did you ever think of that!? Yeah who's your friend now?

That dude was a nut. He was stockpiling heavy weapons (50 cal), having sex with children, and threatening a war on the govt.

We've seen his type before and it always ends badly for everyone involved. There must be law and order. Without that you have nothing and the constitution might as well be toilet paper.

The Department of Homeland Security is set to purchase a further 21.6 million rounds of ammunition to add to the 1.6 billion bullets it has already obtained over the course of the last 10 months alone, figures which have stoked concerns that the federal agency is preparing for civil unrest.
Alex Jones shouldn't say "bullets." You don't want to sound like the Brady Campaign and all the other gun-grabbers who put "bullets into clips" instead of cartridges into magazines.
