Who is buying up all the 22 ammo???

Its been quite a while since I've seen Wolf ammo available. Cabelas was a good place for me to pick up Wolf locally, but as soon as it hits the shelf, its bought up.
Seems supply cannot keep up with demand. But where is the demand coming from? New Shooters.??? Investors???
HMmmmmmm.

Having the same problem here in Wisconsin, the only ammo that appears to be in plentiful supply is .40 cal I cannot find 9mm 10mm .357sig or 45acp.

Two differant retailers have stated that they have identified certain people that seem to know when a shipment arrives and they are buying everything.

We have a Big R farm and ranch supply store locally, went in Saturday, they had about 20 boxes of CCI 525 rds. for 16.00. I bought one box, left some for the next guy. No 9,45,or 357. My local LGS has 45,40.38,357, but no 9. Going to take time to catch up from all the new shooters out there.

People are hoarding or "investing" to resell it for ridiculous prices later.

I think some ammo never makes it to the store shelves.
It arrives at the store's back dock, phone calls are made, and friends and relatives descend on the store and buy all of it.

Since I know for a fact that people are buying up everything they can get there hands on to resell for a large profit - I suspect a lot of the gun/ammo related shortage is due to that.
I just recently starting cruising the on line gun auction sights and was I ever shocked at what I saw.
Just saw a box of 1000 CCI small pistol primers sell (they were fought over) for just a few $ short of $300 - that is roughly 10x the normal price.

Same ridiculous prices for .223, .22, and 9mm.

As long as clueless morons keep buying the supplies at these prices, then more "profiteers" will keep draining the supply line.

I'm not hoarding 10/22s. I'm storing them for a rainy day. At least I'm building them and shootin' em. Same as you with your truckload of ammo.

I could have turned a quick profit with the four that I bought but then what would I do with the profit? I couldn't buy another firearm so what would the point be?

WOW! A year out!! the ammo shortage is crushing the hobby, not to mention the insane prices on everything associated with shooting. Shoot what you have and be left out from shooting againuntil you can get more or not shoot and try to save some ammo, either case you're not enjoying the hobby at all.
