I personally love that ammo...fired about 1400 of them through my SR22P which will be two weeks old this Thursday. It never skipped a beat...just fine with me.

Bought two 550's of Winchester Western's this morning...hope they are as good.

I think the thing with ammo is simply put...YMMV.

Our local Gander has about everything except .223.
I bought a few bricks of Winchester Super X 22lr as it is on sale until tomorrow. Also picked up a few bulk packs of 38 special, .380 and 9mm.

I've killed a lot of stuff with that "garbage".... My remington seems to shoot the "garbage" in the same hole all the time, hard to imagine that since it's "garbage". I admit they aren't the best but "garbage"? Pleeeease... Have mercy!

I agree wholeheartedly on YMMV, but what if t I've seen the bullets were often very loose in the casing and it shot extremely dirty in my 10/22.

Glad it works for you. Leaves more federal and blazer bulk for me

I've been grabbing a 525 pack of Federal 22LR every time I see one for under $20. It's not only 22LR that is scarce in my area, pretty much everything besides shotgun shells is scarce. Especially .223, 9MM, and 30-30.

The bullets are loose...I can agree with you 100%. That however doesnt seem to be an issue at all with their performance. In fact, I just got up and checked the Winchester Westerns and the CCI Mini-mags I have and know what...they are loose too. So three out of three brands I have purchased lately are loose...thinking that perhaps it doesn't matter all that much.

Dirty is not an issue for me, I clean after every trip. I kinda enjoy it to be honest, its a process, a routine...its calming I guess...I just like it, call me crazy.

Not picking a fight here...just speaking from my own personal experience.

Hurrah, my wife just called and said she scored with a box of bulk 22LR at WM, so thats about 4 boxes plus or minus I have now, satisfied. Now for some 38/357. On edit: it's the WWB 555, rather have the Federal but in these times you take what you can get I guess.

I've been reading the threads about ammo shortages. I just went across to the next block to the hardware store and picked up two boxes of .22LR. Their cabinet is about six feet high and four feet wide. They only probably carry about two to three boxes of each, but they have a full cabinet. This is Minnesota in the Midwest, mind you.

All they have is Remington Golden for .22. I think I read something from someone here in the forum that these aren't that good. Maybe I'm mistaken. Either way, I bought what they had.

I got lucky and found a last box of 500 rounds of Remington Thunderbolt. He had assorted 100 and 50 round boxes left. He also told me that someone came by and bought 1000 rounds of 9mm without even having a gun that shot 9mm!! What is this world coming o?

Probably coming to a guy willing to trade 500 rounds plus cash for a 9mm pistol!

I sure wish I could find some ammo. I went to academy to kill some time last friday, and until then I had no idea people were hoarding .22lr. I have checked every website every LGS every walmart and every academy in my area with no luck. I never would have imagined this
