Why can't I find any CCI Stinger 22LR???

It seems like this is sold out absolutely everywhere.

I hear it's one of the best cartridges you can use, so, naturally, I want it.

Any ideas where to get it? Or any suggestions on similar ammo with that high velocity?

Thanks,
Brady

Here are a few places:

CCI RIMFIRE AMMUNITION | Brownells

CCI Stinger Ammo 22 Long Rifle 32 Grain Plated Lead Hollow Point

Cabela's: CCI Bulk .22 LR Stinger and Segmented Hollow Point Ammo with Dry-Storage Box

Other than these, if you can't find it locally, I don't know where to find it. Many sources are selling out.

Not Stingers. I have a little less than a case of them and don't shoot them that often. I prefer Velocitors.

A couple of months ago I went into Bass Pro and they had CCI Stingers on the shelf, limit one box.
I got mine and have never seen them again.
I suspect CCI does a production run of Stingers and then switches the line back to Mini-Mags, the most common and popular product in their line.

Stingers use a different brass so the changeover takes longer (I'm guessing). Seems to me they would run that batch less often then Mini-Mags, Velocitors, etc.

Same here. I'm currently using the Velocitors for squirrel hunting. Have a few bricks of those and Stingers. Yellow Jackets too.

If I hunt squirrels with the 22/45 Lite(like during the up coming deer season), I'll use the Yellow Jackets(yes I know they don't recommend using HV in the MKIIIs. but most say its fine if you don't make a habit of it). Ballistically those (and the Velocitors. but I'm hoarding those) make the most sense if one is looking for max velocity. The Stingers like longer barrels more so. plus theyre a longer round).

Sportsmans Warehouse in Post Falls, ID, had CCI Velocitors for $6.99 on the shelf on Friday when I passed through. Bought my limit of 2 boxes. You just have to keep looking and if you find it at a price you can accept, grab what you can (or need). If you snooze, chances are you will lose.
