Guys, I'm sorry but I changed my mind. I would have to go with:

44mag
44mag
44mag

I don't want anyone to think I overly like that caliber or anything. I'm just saying.

Oh, and if I could have a fourth it would be 44mag as well.

I'm sorry but you can only choose three.

LOL I do admire loyalty. If the 44 mag does it for you that's awesome, its a great round.

Yes, you did. I'm changing my answer.
I want 22, 35 and 45. That way I can have a 22LR, 22Mag, 223, 9mm, 38 spec, 357 mag, 35 Rem, 35 Whelen, 45 acp, 45 Colt, 450 Bushmaster and a 45/70.

I wish I could choose 4 calibers 'cause I'd add a 12 ga to the list!
I would have to add a 12 gauge shotgun.

For a rifle I think I'd have to settle for a 30-30 lever. This rifle and caliber has survived for many generations as has the 38/.357.

The .22lr would have to be on any preper/survivalist list.

Yeah me bad, but he also said "calibers" not chamberings like everyone is posting. To actualy answer correctly, I'd have to say: .223, .357, .458 calibers

If they all had to be rugers here's what I'd do:

.22LR - 10-22
.357 - Vaquero
.223 - Mini-14

Most certainly the .22LR, cheap, abundant, fun to shoot and can take down small critters such as rabbits
I like the .357/.38spl, readily available, great defense round and inexpensive enough. I can use in my Smith & Wesson 686+ as well as my Winchester model 94 Trapper rifle, like the cowboys did with their Colt peacemaker and Winchester 73s .357mag out of the little Lever action is a reasonable Deer round. My second choice would be 9mm, not as versatile or powerful as .357mag/.38spl but a good handgun round that is inexpensive and readily available worldwide.
For the rifle round I would have to go with the .223, plenty of inventory and cheap enough as rifle rounds go. It is a good SD round and would work as a hunting round up to a medium sized deer. My second choice would be .308.
What I keep thinking about is how available a caliber is worldwide, that is very important.
