Remington Nickel Plated Target Ammo

I just picked up some of this ammo the other day in 45 acp and thought I'd give it a try tomorrow morning. I believe it's been in production for about a year now. First time for me to check it out.

Anyone shot this ammo before, if so how did it perform for you..?

Put 100 rds of it through my Colt s70 and not one hick up. It's even more accurate than some of the other target ammo I've been shooting. Also makes it easier to find the spent brass.

I have heard 2 reasons for nickel-plated brass.
1. It's supposed to feed better.
2. It's supposed to be easier to see in low light conditions to do a chamber check.
I'm not sure either is worthy of it's extra cost.

I'd never heard of reason #1. I wasn't aware that brass ammo had any difficulty feeding to start with, and given that it's target ammo one doesn't have much to lose even if it's not the world's best-feeding ammo.

Seems feeding perfection & low-light chambers checks only come into play with high-price defensive ammo where it could be a matter of life & death.

I'd never pay extra for it, though I can recall a time earlier this year when Natchez had some Remington nickel-plated target ammo priced as cheap as anything to be found. A shiny case starts looking real pretty if it happens to have the lowest price attached to it.
