You can't reload steel.

I've seen a lot of underpowered Tula ammo at ranges. Also most manufactureres includeing Ruger, SIG, H&K, Beretta, etc... warn against using steel cased ammo (and some even warn against aluminum cased ammo) with pistols because of excess wear on the extractor. Some never have a problem, but I've seen extractors with chipped edges from steel cased ammo making it necessary to replace.

Depends on the gun. Some guns won’t handle steel, some will.

Brass is easier on your gun.

I would say that the Tula stuff is fine. I've shot a little out of my SR9 and my friends done the same with his Beretta 92. Depending on the gun, if youre really worried, buy another extractor, the one in my SR9 is super easy to replace and I take it out regularly to clean every couple hundred rounds. Its a part thats going to get worn eventually

I vote Federal. The more people shooting brass, the better. More for me to pick up at the range...

Ive never had a problem shooting Tula. I actually think its a little less dirty then the Winchester 100rd white box. At least in my opinion. Haha
I bought 3 boxes of federal and 1 box of Tula the other day at Walmart and the guy there asked me why on earth would I buy Tula. Haha

Not so sure how aluminum would be an issue though. Between aluminum & brass I'm not sure which is softer, though both are certainly soft.

I'll never put that Tula crap in any of my firearms unless it is the only thing at hand when the Zombies come. Which it won't be because I always have a case of good stuff (brass stuff) in reserve for SHTF EOTWAWKI.

Steel cases are hard on extractors.

Some ranges won't allow steel or aluminum casings.
