| New Doubletap 195gr .357 equalizer defense ammo?
So I was recently at Sportsman's to drool over the guns (.44 super redhawk alaskan in the case) and pick up some supplies, when for shits and giggles I decided to wonder through the ammo and found: DoubleTap Ammunition
Extremely interesting to say the least!
Anyone tried this in .357 or an other caliber? How does it perform? The low velocity seems counterproductive to me seeing as it's two bullets in one and all, but there's next to no info on it after some searching so who knows?
I ended up with the last box of Win 145gr silvertips (tried and true favorite) instead, but still cannot stop wondering about the new Double Tap equalizer rounds.

Might be fun to try it, but, it is kinda expensive.
I wounder how far apart the two bullet strikes are.

But yeah, due to the price, and lack of info on it and the fact that 145gr silvertips were there, I couldn't justify buying 20 of them for $10 less than 50 my favorite .357 ammo.

With MY luck, one of the projectiles would fly wide and strike an otherwise uninterested personal injury attorney and only wound him enough to make him sue me.

ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY FIVE GRAINS in a 357? WOW! I wonder if you recover enough for a follow up shot? Must be a bit 'snappy' in a LCR!
I generally shoot 185 and 200 in my .45ACP!!

it is hot-rod ammo for 10mm. They, underwood and buffalo bore are the ones keeping 10mm alive by marketing full power loads.
no issues with functioning--it's all i use for defense.

I love DoubleTap but that round has me scratching my head. I would guess, being a self defense round, that it's meant for close range and the 2 projectiles wouldn't have the opportunity to separate much anyway.

It just stinks that doubletap has provided as close to no information as possible, especially if they want to sell this ammo.
