Question Carry ammo for LCP?

What do you recommend for carry ammo for the LCP? do you carry ball/flat nose or HP's. I hear alot of conflicting info on this due to the short barrel length and lack of power .380 has.

crracer 712 is an unknown quantity at this point
I keep Hornady Critical Defence in my LCP's (Well, my Zombie Slayer model has Zmax, thought that was only fitting...). I haven't seen with my own eyes, but I have read were Hornady Critical Duty says it will not preform as expected from short barrel pistols.

If they go to the trouble to print that on one box, but not the other, I'll assume it's fine to use the other in a short barrel pistol.

Hornady Critical Defense in the mag right now, but also have some Federal Hydra-Shok. Either of those or Speer Gold Dots are the way to go. Stay away from any +P rated ammo.

Critical Defense, it is designed to get it's best performance with short barrel and it works flawlessly in LCP and LC9. Actually i have shot 5 Critical Defense calibers in Ruger pistols without any problems of any kind.

I use Hornady 90 gr XTP. They feed well, have good expansion and I have good accuracy at 7 yds and closer ranges. I load my own practice rounds, and keep the Hornady's for SD. I buy fresh rounds every six months (or thereabouts), shoot the old and, of course, reload the brass. I like to compare HP bullets in different calibers by shooting old hardcover books and comparing penetration and expansion. Not real scientific, but a lot of fun. Relax book lovers. I shoot old, old science textbooks that students probably didn't read when they were new.

Ammo

Hornady Critical Defense or Speer Gold Dot are both said to have excellent expansion, ensuring the round stays in the assailant and doesn't pass through the assailant to hit something/one else. That last item might not be a big risk with .380. I'm using Hydra-Shok in my BG380 because I had a box and .380 ammo is 'spensive right now.

I have Speer in 9mm and Hornady in .38Spl.

Any ideas why no +P ammo in LCP? I guess that means no Buffalo Bore for the LCP?
