357mag- Buffalo Bore or Grizzly

I want to get 157 grn JHP rounds for my woods SP101. Is there any difference between Buffalo Bore and Grizzly ammo? The price seems to be almost identical for 20 rnd boxes.

I've used many boxes of BB 180 grain hard cast and BB 125 grain low recoil stuff (I think it's called tactical). Both work great.

I have not tried Grizzly but I'd like to try 200 grain hard cast. I've heard good things about it but I'm a little nervous of cartridge length in the SP101 cylinder.

Let me know if you try it.

I have some test results in my sheet for FPS/LBS if it helps. Grizzly is pretty good but so is Buffalo Bore.

The Underwood 125gr JHP are the baddest I have tested so far. Out of your short barrel they will scream!

I have used the Buffalo bore 125 gr JHP and the Buffalo bore 180Gr hard cast, they're both great bullets for knock down power, and they're also INSANELY accurate, even though they have a good amount of felt recoil and loudness to them.

Watch my video of me comparing all the different "heavy" rounds from Double Tap, Buffalo Bore, Winchester, Hornandy, PMC, and more. All in my ruger

The Video:
Shooting 357 Magnum Hot Loads Ruger Blackhawk 125gr, 160gr, 180gr, 200gr - YouTube

You may also consider going for a defensive 38special +P round if you don't wanna deal with heavy felt recoil. I have another video comparing the 38special VS the 357 Magnum in my Ruger SP101

The Video:
Ruger SP101 & Ruger Blackhawk 357 magnum shooting 180gr hot loads - YouTube

Hope both of these videos help you in making your decision

Where did you get your FPS/LBS numbers?

Amazingly DT doesn't meet claims in any caliber. The ones in my sheet highlighted in green are ones I actually fired through my GP100. The rest are compiled from other shooters.

I didn't realize I haven't shot any BB out of my GP. I will trade anyone for testing but so far Kevin's 125's are nuclear!

are you using the same barrel length as they show in their fps ratings? i like both doubletap and underwood, especially in the 10mm

GP100 4" like they claim. Their 10mm is a G20 which my Match has a longer barrel... still can't get the claims. Not close!
