american eagle syntech ammo?

has anyone used it? can't find many reviews my local indoor range doesn't allow any jacketed ammo but they do allow copper plated (berrys) there was a shop locally that "re manufactured" ammo and used copper plated bullets and also bare lead well they closed and now i'm at a loss of any ammo locally available to use in this indoor range. 9mm lead ammo seems pretty uncommon the syntech seems like it would fit the criteria of "no metal jackets"

I have tried it for about 250 rounds both in my RAP 9mm and my S&W shield. It shoots nice groups, is clean burning and easy to clean up after. The only claim I can't substantiate is if it runs cooler than others. I do not shoot fast, so that is never and issue of mine.

I've used coated bullets before (not specifically Syntech) and found them to be just as good as anything else out there.

Syntech would certainly meet the criteria of no jacketed ammo. I haven't used it specifically, but have been using coated bullets in my reloads for quite a while. Cost effective like lead but without some of the negatives of using pure lead projectiles. Coating works like bullet lube without the mess. Also significantly reduces barrel leading.

kastner03, I hope you like it. I picked up about 500 rounds in 9mm and really like it. So much that I have picked up some some similar bullets to use in reloading. The American Eagle are, of course bright red, and the bullets I picked up for reloading are black, so it is quite a visual change from FMJ rounds, but they do shoot clean.

Look forward to hearing what you think of them.

we shot about 150 rounds tonight and it fed reliably in my lc9s and my brothers taurus slim my dads sr9 had a few fail to feeds on e first round out of a full mag but then the rest would feed fine. it's a brand new gun so the problem may not be ammo related. it does seem to shoot pretty clean and is decently accurate. i didn't really notice "reduced recoil" as they claim we will be picking more up for the next range trip to further test it

Have shot it in 9mm and 40 S&W, cleaner than other Federal ammo. The 40 is 165 gr., a little snappy.

Might have to try it.
Clean would be a big plus when compared to CCI, which I get great accuracy, but seems kinda dirty.

But would have to see if it maintains any accuracy.
