Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new rifle. Lots of very good and experienced people here. I have also had some .22s where the bullets were kind of loose in the casing. I shot them anyway and had no problems.

If you do have a Ruger 10/22, you'll probably find that it will eat almost any ammo you feed it. However, a lot of people (myself included) think highly of CCI Stingers or Mini Mags.
