Another 380 thread.

I know this is old news now about the 380 ammo shortage. Back in late October I bought a new LCP. I hadn't owned a 380 in years. A few years back I gave all my 380 ammo away. Big mistake of course I never dreamed I'd get another one.Right after getting my LCP I ordered 3 boxes of Speer Gold Dot.I ordered it from a Police supplier which I've bought SD ammo from several times before. It was on back order. Yesterday I called to check the status of my order. The guy I was talking told me I probably won't see it for 8 months to a year. Luckly I was in FL a month or so ago and bought 4 boxes of Winchester Target ammo for 20.00 a box. Then a week or two later I was in a W*M and I found a box of a 100 for 33.00.

AIM Surplus has it on special right now.

Edit: Nevermind - they did when I got this email a week ago. Looks like it's sold out now. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.as...x35&groupid=83

Great for those that shoot the .380-auto!

I think the ammo situation is hurting the sales of little 380 autos. Just when almost every gun maker is jumping on the pocket gun bandwagon. Not very good timing.

I think what is hurting the sales of the .380-auto ammo is that fact some greedy people are out there doubling the money on those what have .380-auto pistols. No reason it should be 2 to 3 times as much as 9mm Luger cal ammo.

Unfortunately you'll find scalpers where ever buck can be made. It's not right we all know. Not much we can do but hold out for the supply to replenish itself.
