Standard pressure gets you around 940ish fps 290 ish ft lbs, +P gets you around 990ish fps 320ish ft lbs.
All penetrate about the same 12+ inches through denim.
If she can put the rounds on target better with the "micro" ammo then it's the best ammo.
That's pretty much why I grabbed it for her...in switching the H&K P200SK (which just 'feels-better' in her grip) she's already cut her target pattern down to less than half what it was with the Glock 26 and Springfield XDm 3.8 at 15'. Me thinks a lighter-recoil bullet might just help to tighten the pattern even more as she won't have it to deal with the harsher felt recoil?
She really likes the lighter guns for EDC...but then sacrifices with felt recoil as a result. If this helps her manage the felt recoil aspect better, and her overall accuracy improves...accuracy is still one step ahead of penetration depth!
Because penetration differences were nominal as compared to the 147 grain standard and 147 grain +P version...I would rather see her accuracy improve over simply trying to find a heavy-hitter round for her!
I know for me, personally, I EDC a Glock 36 in .45 acp...and that pistol really likes the Remington Golden Sabre 185 JHP +P round...I can hold a sub-5" group at 21' / 7m consistently with an 1100 fps round generating 535 ft lbs of expendable energy...it just works!
