what do ya'll think about the buffalo bore 125 gr?

i have recently switched over from speer dot gold 158 gr to b.b. 125 hollow points for s.d. does any one have any ballistic stories about this round? i have used the 180 b.b. lead flat nose and was very impressed, but have not heard anything on the 125's.

I have been wanting to purchase some of the Buffalo Bore ammo but have not gotten around to it as of yet. I need to get them online and check out their offerings.

Well, HOTSOUP, I guess we're not going to get many opinions.

Not sure of the 125's but I use to use the 158 grainers for a camping load. I now make my own with 158 grain XTPs. The BB 158 grainers were stout but controlable and accurate (3 inches and less at 25 yrds). I would expect the 125's to behave the same way.

I plan on carrying my new SP101 with the Buffalo Bore 158gr... I'm sure that 1,398 fps will do the trick and be closer to the POA than the lighter 125gr versions. My first trip out with my SP101 showed me that 125gr bullets impact about 1 to 2" low at 15 yards

Carry the 180s in the back country, trust them. 125 b.b. reduced flash for home defense. Haven't tried the heavies but likely they are as reliable and accurate as the other b.b. Loads?

I have several of BB's products. It my be appropriate to note on their site that they warn against permanent hearing loss on the .357's fired indoors, suggesting that the .38spc. +P's might be better for sd in enclosed spaces. I switched my 101 to the +p .38's......

Best....

I actually keep a set of Walkers Quad power muffs beside the bed so if I need to arm myself, I can hear better and protect my hearing at the same time. Hopefully the intruder will suffer permanent hearing loss.

I shoot BB in various calibers, weights and bullet types depending on the situation. I like every BB cartridge I've fired - .380, 9mm, .45, all in various configurations, Jacketed FN, HP, HCFN, I like them all.
