You are NOT going to bump fire this carbine. But,, these carbines are built to be AR15 compatible, and accept an AR15 trigger group.

I dont plan on changing it, ( if it aint broke, dont fix it ) , but,,,,

I wonder if an AR 15 trigger would change where it goes into batttery?
I put my carbine together from parts sourced from a variety of places including a lower parts kit from WMD. The LPK was a standard AR15 Kit including the trigger and my hammer won't drop until the bolt is fully forward. I can't explain mechanically how that works but I tried Iowegan's test of letting the charging handle go forward bit by bit while checking the trigger and I couldn't get it to drop early.

I would suggest in the setup you have don't use that brand of ammo anymore. Now that I am aware of FM I will never buy their cheap ammo. I always use PMC bronze and never any problems or misfires.

I think I posted on here a year or two ago a FM case that looked wrong to me when I was loading magazines. I posted here and another forum and decided not to shoot it. It looked slightly bulged all the way around the middle.

Was it a Freedom reload or Freedom new round? I have used both and have yet to have any trouble with their reloads. Their customer service is another matter. After I get this last order I'm done with them. Its not worth the agony of such horrible service.

I would say contact them, send the defective round, the batch number and ask for replacement. Now its probably a one in a million miss during their QC of reused brass. But things have not been going well there at Freedom as of late. There service department is having all kinds of issues. Still, they should take care of you, if you can get an actual person to answer the phone.

Best of luck.

Mine was a reload. I ordered about 600 rounds last time. Just the one issue like that. I just received an order from them the other day. Only ordered a couple boxes, but I guess I will check them. These are new. Anyone have any issues with their.40 S&W? My buddy just got a new gun and I recommended them for cheap ammo, but I don't want to send him there if he's going to get crappy ammo.
