The WM by me usually has plenty of ammo around this time of year and I believe the contributing factors are, 1) our "firearms" deer hunting season opens in mid-October and 2) Christmas is coming.
Otherwise this store is hit or miss the rest of the year. They're very inconsistent with the variety and amounts of ammo they carry.

Wal marts here in virginia have a lot of ammo on the shelfs lately. One also carries reloading equipment.

Stoped today and all but a few boxes all the .40 and 9mm were sold out.

Last week my Walmart's ammo supply was the lowest I have ever seen. I'll be going there again tomorrow and will take a look. (Glad I reload).

Went today to another Walmart and supplies were the same, they only had a few WWB 50 and 100 round boxes along with 5 boxes of TulAmmo in .40 S&W  | |

Walmart is pretty much fully stock around here. The only thing I didnt see today were Minimags. Which is pretty rare.

Stopped yesterday and they have restocked most of their ammo, lots of Winchester and Federal 9mm and 40 s&w. I am glad they have started stocking the 100 packs of Federal 40 s&w for $27  | |
